Why do I feel sarcasm? True, there are truly great areas if you think about it, but there are also places that are not as nice.

Nah, it's just that I know of foreigners who think that Singapore is SEA's Switerzland. And I can't help but roll my eyes at how my classmates think that SG is the most politically free and uncorrupt nation in the world. I mean, I know SOTA may be a bit elitist, but come on now.... Oh, and if I read anymore of that "true blue Singaporean" crap, I swear I'll tear my eyes out. <Are they still doing that? Haven't bought a paper in months.

I know what durians are, I've been to Singapore. I couldn't stand them 
It's birds nest soup! Its deliciousness. Durains are good too, once you get over the smell. If you don't like the smell at all, try some durian mooncakes. It's the same thing just frozen and wrapped in snowskin, without the smell.
