Or I will recite the Old Spice commercial and then hang up (because the Old Spice commercial is awesome). "This phone call is now DIAMONDS!"

When I was younger I remember some telemarketing place kept calling for my grandfather who not only was indeed dead, but never lived in that house or had that telephone number.
It was rather annoying.

I remember saying something along the lines of "If you manage to get ahold of him, dont call me, call the newspaper."

that could result in some trouble someday, I sometimes answer and say "Fire department! How can I help you?"

they hang up instantly.

but I generally just redirect unknowns and not familiar numbers :)

I once rang a doorbell on a flat and tried to order a pizza, the guy came down to see who I was, of course I had to run like the wind (because he was pretty angry). But yeah those were epic times.

if its an unknown number my dad would sometimes say City Morgue, you stab em we slab em, they would hang up as well unless it someone we knew. what i hate is when you get phone calls about college stuff or information you requested when what you did had nothing to do with either.
