Followed the guide almost perfectly till the very end. Just after the last step, I click on "Play" and the whole PC shuts down. WTF?!?! If PC isn't powerful enough to play it, then just LAG! Don't shut down and cause all my active torrents to screw up!

Restarted and tried to play another file...

It shut down again! Now should I revert back to CCCP + CoreAVC and fix all my settings again?

Is your PC that weak ?
If your PC can play 720p BDs, it's more than capable to play Hi10 without problems. If you have problems, you are doing something wrong.

WHICH MPC-HC did you get? there are some betas that are insanely buggy that can do that. oh yea, what rig do you use btw, makes me curious.

You see, in the guide, there was this link. As said in the guide, I picked the last one (1.5.3.3913) and installed it.

And what's rig?

TL : DR rig = a Built PC

Edit: you might've just done something wrong, that MPC is stable on me, and so does LAVs, but do be careful about the settings AND forgetting to clean up the old filters.

I never said my PC is built for high-performance.

I doubt my PC specs are causing the issue since I could play everything fine with CCCP + CoreAVC 3.0.1.

wait nevermind, MPC-HC 3913 IS broken, i repeat, is broken on me. didnt notice but i had 3910 instead =P

You should follow the guide properly, and your rig should play Hi10 without any problems.

Result!

If dad sees, I'm screwed.

Couple of restarts fixed it...
