I've never studied, ever.
Facial hair pisses me off. Thankfully i don't grow it fast or thickly like some, but I can't concentrate on anything once its there.
How far along are you in your education?
Also, agreed, it's annoying and mine grows way too fast.
Also, loud noises when I don't want them.
I have a master's degree in clinical epidemiology and research, among other things on my resume. I was going to get a doctorate but I landed a reasonably comfortable position and haven't felt the need to stress myself.
I read the material three times over when assigned (An introductory rreading, a secondary reading for highlighting, back research, and commentary, and a last comprehensive reading). I listen carefully to lectures and ask questions from the instructors to clarify any material I failed to fully understand. Needless to say, I do all the work assigned beyond that. So I've never felt the need to study when tested, people just assume I do as I am A-type about most things. I find actively focusing on what's in front of me, and progressing through the subject matter thoroughly as the semester goes on means very little effort required and a lot more time available for other things.
I finish essays in the same manner, I feel out the material for whats available, find a subject of interest, ask instructors for suggestions for material, write rough bibliography, write thesis, check thesis with instructor, do outline, check outline with instructor, write rough copy, check rough copy with instructor, write good bibliography, write final copy, have at least 5 peers edit the essay (I'm a terrible speller and grammarian), and done.
The bane of my existence is group work, as working with others has never been my forte. I usually take over and do all the work myself, or else I live in turmoil that it won't be up to my quality. Though of course, people occasionally complain about my efforts, idiots mostly.
