I prefer /b/ because the anonymity makes that sort of behavior pointless. But until recently that had its own set of problems, mainly spam, and annoying shit like pretending to be multiple people.
The semi-anonymous conversion last month, wherein each person has a unique numerical ID within a thread, means that a poster has to stick to one viewpoint. /b/ has really gotten much better since then.
Of course, there's still a lot of bullshit topics and hate-mongering. But I survive on the belief that about half of those people are trolling
