I've been hired by an associate to be assistant on her research project. I was more than happy to help her, since she did a similar favour for me without asking for payment in return. However, she's been uncharacteristicall y unsteady, and becoming more morose the longer we've been working on it. I'm just a grunt, so to speak, all the planning and analysis are her own. I've been getting things in awkward chunks, the schedule we agreed to only loosely relates to what we've been accomplishing. She's also been adding substantially more than the original planning accounted for.
I did almost nothing last week, and this weekend had triple the workload of the last three weeks combined - and much of it never appeared on the original outline. I think she might have become disillusioned regarding the project upon reading others works and talking to her peers, and has decided to just throw everything at the problem but the kitchen sink.
Honestly, this wouldn't piss me off usually, I'm doing a favour and she's been a good friend to me. However, she's not letting me talk to her about it, and I'm trying to be somewhat gentle in my approach as to prevent adding unnecessary stress to the situation. I'm just out of sorts, and worried.
