6% content is about average for the beers I drink, but I dont buy that whole "American beer" thing as an excuse. You just have to drink more. If 6 dont get you drunk, then drink 12, or switch to hard liqueur. Dont pawn the shit off on the type of beer.
On that note- Every time I drink imported beer, it tastes like piss. I dont care that it has a higher alcohol content. And yes, I have tried many varieties. Maybe it just comes down to what I am used to, but I can see why other people dont like American beer for the taste just the same as I dont like imports. Thats just me tho.

Higher % often comes through as tasting of alcohol and that's a failure as a beer then.
American beer just happens to taste horrible no matter how you look at it. It's used dishwater.

American craft ales can be pretty good. They're quite strong for ale (frequently 6-7% or more), and very very hoppy, but a lot of them are quite nice. America is probably the second or third best part of the world for good real ale (Britain obviously being the best).

The cheap mass-produced lager that most americans drink is shit though, I agree.

I like Citrus flavored beer most, If I can, i buy Redds Sun, Dunno why but I really enjoy it. Works great with anime and summer time
