I'm pissed today because a contractor I had scheduled to show up today forgot about me and booked another job this afternoon.  I called him at 3pm to see if he was still planning to show up today, and found this out.  To make matters worse, he said he would be out today anyway, after finishing up his other job.  Now it's 7:30pm and not only is he not here, he hasn't called either.  He didn't answer his phone when I called him at 6:30pm, and his voice mail is full.
 
I'm replacing a drop-in stove with a slide-in stove, which requires my cabinets to be cut out and a wiring change to be made; my contractor was was going to do both tasks, plus an unrelated fix for me.  Now I've got a new stove showing up tomorrow morning which I can't install or use.  My retailer is supposed to haul away my old stove, but I don't think they'll disconnect a drop-in stove, so I'm going to have to figure out how I'm going to get rid of the old clunker, and I'm going to find someone else to help me with the wiring & cabinets.  (I think I can get my uncle to do it for me; I should've just asked him in the first damn place.)

Talked to my uncle tonight, and he'll be able to come over and help me out on either Saturday or Monday.  I think I'll still have to figure out what to do with my old stove; I think I'll ask my retailer if they're willing to pick it up on another day.  Even if they charge me a pick-up fee, it's not a big deal.
 
With the contractor what ticked me off isn't so much that he forgot about the job, it was the making-a-promise-to-come-out-anyway and then completely blowing me off without the courtesy of a phone call.  I won't be using that guy again for anything.

Getting told off out of the blue for making a mistake. Even more so when you're in the middle of fixing your mistake.

Today one of our major contractors called and dissolved the contract, our work is done, and we are now up to our heads with a different contractor that is late with payment, imma gonna go rip his head off if they don't pay by the end of the month.

Also we just gained another big shot company under our wings, so it's basically 3 companies we work with and half the people took off with being sick (riiiiight) so anyways, 4+me working on 3 companies, one of them is not paying for two months so we will just stop doing work for them by the end of month and sue them, 1 is small fry, but they gain many customers steadily so they might grow fast. Personally I don't mind it but I am 5 people short !!!

Nothing aginst quoting the right people in the right situation, what makes me ... overreact is making up quotes or screwing them up. I think the particular one that reminded me to write the post was about the the greatness of christian god and it was assigned to Einstein.
