I had that problem as well, or rather, no one told me what the password I was supposed to use to admit access to it. It was clearly stated on the university's website however.

...and what I meant was that I need to go online for a personal password (every student gets one), change the password, download and install wpa_supplicant along with a preconfigured configuration file, enter my new password into the configuration file, and finally run the command:

wpa_supplicant -Dwext -ieth1 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf -B

...in order to access their wifi...

Edit: Oh, and the new password didn't get activated until an hour had passed, which they naturally didn't tell anyone, leaving us to think that the wifi was broken as nobody new had access to it (and the professor didn't have a clue).

What I didn't get was why in my case the router needed to 'see' whether I had an antivirus installed. The checker in the crapstaller couldn't even go passed the firewall for crying out loud.

falling asleep on the job pretty much and still producing more timber than when i am awake. now the boss thinks i was slacking off when i was awake and that i can do more. what he doesnt understand is that the saws can only go 3 speeds and max is as fast as it goes...

I found this guide and exclaimed "Holy moly, I can game without having to dual boot?"

...but naturally it was too good to be true, as Intel had disabled VT-d on the Sandybridge K-series for no reason I could see other than marketing.
