That Sweden's National Police Agency classifies The Pirate Bay as a child porn site, and therefore adds it to the list of sites to ban that all Sweden's ISP:s follow. If that's not abuse of power, I don't know what is.

That's actually hilarious. iirc, the states were classifying all torrent sites as Child Porn sites in order to get the SOPA and shit pushed through.
It's interesting tbh. Lulzy, and annoying, but interesting. You have to think at least some of them believe it.

...and it just adds reason for the suspicion that the international hunt for paedophiles is just a cover up for eliminating pirates...

I just found out that this blacklist only restricts access via the domain name (like SOPA would have), so we'll swedes'll still be able to access TPB with its IP address or by changing our DNS server from the ISP's to Google's or whichever.

Because things can be uploaded by members, or non-members, of the site, they're legally responsible, for the time it's up, for "hosting child porn".
At least, that's how it's been classified.

By that logic, every single image host and every single file host are hosting child porn and should be banned. Hell, you could even go so far as to say that the vast majority of web servers in the world are hosting child porn if you followed that logic in fact, since their users could upload child porn and it would be available until the owner noticed and took it down again. So that can't seriously be the real reason, can it? Please, tell me it isn't the real reason. I might facepalm so hard I'd punch a hole through my head and die if it actually is.

That's the trend today, all governments are designing the laws regarding internet in such a way, that it  allows them to shut down essentially any site they desire to shut down. So yes, it is -that-logic. I've even seen a law that that takes it further - allows the government to shut down any site containing copyright violation and/OR link to site that violates copyright, counting content presented by owner, administrators or users ... Which is the internet.

I work with women only, today when some of them, again, complain about how we run our little departement of kids, I got pissed off.
The kids are superhappy, the parents are happy and we who work there are happy.

Just because we choose to be outside alot, it doesn't mean the kids are suffering, it is actually the other way around....

I went to bed at 10PM last night, so I'd sleep in because I was feeling sick and I have a midterm today. Instead, I woke up at 4AM, and couldn't fall back asleep, so I went for a run and did a few hours of studying.
