also, when ur gonna pick up a workmate on the way to work, but you can't get to his house because a truck crashed right out front and spilt chicken all over the road and his front lawn... so the road was closed. Not to mention its the only sealed road to work, and I just bought a new car yesterday and spent half a day cleaning it...

The hurricane itself isn't really the issue, the bureaucratic shuffling is. Apparently not everyone likes driving thorough heavy gales and torrential rain, and that means my pristine and orderly schedules will be all pretzel-like now.

When the prof thinks adding yet another question to a midterm is a freaking good idea (now 9; his previous class had 8, and the one before that had just 7 on more material). And any nonscientific (aka no actual theories/theorems) exams that go by 1 pt/min or more

having to work with an artificially low resolution (for testing), just because the customer of my company's customer (the one using the product I'm maintaining) can't be arsed to either get some decent screens for their employees or teach them how to use horizontal scrollbars - and low in this case means XGA as opposed to hd 1080 normally -.-

I might add that the "we need the product to be usable on XGA screens" requirement came in when we had the software in use for about half a year, carefully designed to look good on our hd 1080 screens and afterwards changed to death, which resulted in me being the only one able to maintain it at all without having to carefully study the codebase first...

Power windows in cars....
*Tries to do window up* - window goes down...
*Presses button other way* - window goes down faster
*Realizes had it right the first time, presses other way* - window continues to slowly descend.
*Takes door panel off* - pulley that the wire rope returns through is busted...

But it was working fine 20 seconds ago... No warning at all... The other door is sticking, maybe I best check that one too before *it* breaks as well...

Damn, and I was gonna go to town tomorrow.. This particular town has a bit of a problem with car thefts, so with he window down, I guess thats that idea fucked. Guess I'll use my old car with no air-conditioning in the middle of the day when it reaches approximately 35 degrees, at least the windows in *that* car are the wind it yourself kind and less likely to break.

Maybe I should just shove a piece of wood under the window so it can't go down, but I tried it and the window won't go all the way back up because the return wire is jammed in the broken loop pass-through.
FML. Well, while I am in town, guess I can pick up a second hand spare at least.

I lost my skype account (since I don't have access to the e-mail it's connected anymore). Now I have to find and add some 70+ contacts again to the new account >.> HELL! as if I will <.<
