Whenever a trivial, non-critical bugfix reveals multiple difficult to fix show stopper bugs >.<

I encounter this every so often.  It's every tester's nightmare, especially when we're under a tight deadline.  It's always a fun conversation to go back to the project manager and say, "Well, you can have your project on time, as long as you're willing to bring the entire system to a screeching halt.  No, you don't want everything to crash and burn in a flaming pile of data and programs?  OK, then you're going to have to push the deadline out."
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.

Real Life and the Dull, Dull problems. Let me escape into fiction, please.

My mother's dog raped his mother and forced us to pay ~$200 for abortion.

...What?
The dog's mother.

...apparently, there isn't anything wrong with incest for dogs.

Ok, wrong word, but we didn't want another dog, and especially not one born from incest (although I guess it's far from rare in the animal world).

Dogs follow their instincts, especially when there is blood involved:P

And Buchno, my father had the same problem with  two of his dogs, and ended up DNA testing 7 puppies, just to make sure they had the right father. They had, and they could live;)

nah, but the sentence is misleading.

             +--------------------------+
             |                          |
             v                         |
My mother's dog raped his mother and forced us to pay

the other way around is another person's mother.

All three? :P

...or just disappear? May I ask what made you do it?

My guess was right :P
...although I wasn't aware that they provided DNA testing for dogs.

kitamesume: "My mother's dog raped his own mother [...]", is that one better?
Although, there are only two possible actors in the sentence, and my mother is female which rules her out, so the only other possible option is the dog, which is why I don't see how it's misleading... I suppose I'm not good enough in English...
