It's not about friends, but about having someone to love and who will love you back.

Chin up, social rejects and misfits.  You'll find somebody eventually, but you have to put effort into the search or you'll get nowhere.

Or you'll just end up burying your misery is expensive things or hard drugs.

Also a possibility.

Or you can just get used to being alone.  Sometimes long-term relationships can be a real hassle, and it's those times when it's nice to just have your own space and to be able to order your home the way you want to without having to consider somebody else's opinions.  The older I get, the more set in my ways I become in that regard.  I can't even imagine living with another woman again, sharing the same bedroom, always being in each other's business.  <shudder>

The last time I quit firefox (which was a few days ago), it decided one of my open windows was unimportant and just forgot about it instead of saving and restoring it as it should. I managed to find the site I had open in said window in the browsing history, but still... -.-

Heatwaves like this

I need to sleep naked without a duvet to even catch a small moment of sleep between 2-6am.

Because we can!

Unexplained computer glitches.  Stepped away from my PC for a few minutes this evening, came back to a DOS-like screen saying my boot drive was inaccessible.  Powered it down, rebooted just fine, checked out a few things, everything seemed good.

Left my PC on, popped in and out of my room a few times, then a couple of hours later, came back to find my background pic displayed, no icons shown, mouse frozen.  Powered the sonofabitch down, opened the case, reseated some connections, vacuumed out the dust, ran a scandisk of the boot drive, ran Windows memory diagnostic, ran the Windows startup repair utility, checked for viruses, malware, etc.... all good, no problems found.  Crap like this makes me suspicious.  Hoping it was just a fluke, and that my SSD doesn't have some deeper issue, planning to run a more detailed scandisk later.
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.

Ouch. Don't do that, you risk damaging your components by releasing static energy. Buy a can of compressed air instead, it's safe to use.

How funny, I paid a fortune to see the dentist just over a week ago, and he said I was just fine. Now I look myself in the mirror and discover I have (mild) gingivitis.

Yes, I brush my teeth every day, and I've started flossing. Bad teeth are hereditary.
