i'm not sure if what you mean by downloading a whole site, you'd need a few terrabytes of space and diligence to do it.
as for downloading a whole page, its quite possible using dTa, right-click and click "downloadthemall!" and it downloads the whole page as is, you can view it as an offline page.

it downloads the page "as is" and only that page. links are there but doesn't lead to anywhere, though possibly it would load the ones online instead.

i usually do this to recipe sites instead of writing the ingredients and procedures down.

You can do the same by right-clicking anywhere on a webpage that isn't a link and click "Save as". Choose "Webpage Complete" or equivalent and it will save the entire page. This, of course, assumes you are using a desktop browser.

Not as bad as Bridget L Satellizer that was born in England from Freezing being translated as Satellizer L Bridget instead and her entire family getting the Bridget last name because whoever wrote it was too stupid to understand Western naming conventions.

I don't know of any myself but a quick google showed a few things you might want to try:

Only 1000 files per batch download in IDM. It was so fast and efficient (more than dTa) but then this stupid limiter!
