If you don't mind living inside a mine field I can offer you a place in the gaza strip (5k m² with lot's of olive trees and a small house, and mines, that threw my gradfather around while watering the trees. Now it's empty)

Got a flat tire on the way to work, had to walk home with my bike, get a ride to work, and then hope that someone can drop off a (fixed) bike before I need to go home. Else, I'm walking home. Which will suck, because it's like 15 kilometers.

Could be worse. Could be 20k, like as for me. On a dangerous two lane highway with no shoulder to speak of; roadway at night, like I would have to, and could be winter!

Buy a can of fix a flat, um for next time..

Universities don't like change. There are an awful lot of unionized employees that work their asses off to make sure everything remains the same as it did before WWII.

We had a custodian here melt down the other day, very similar to what someone here described. The rumor is, the pain meds for his oral surgeries had gotten the better of him. Someone else hasn't fallen off the wagon have they? If so, it just means that they aren't in their right minds. Hopefully they will find their mind again.
