How much are you paying for a premium? What's your total bandwidth plan? And last but not least who is your ISP?
About 30USD.
If I recall it's the 10Mbps plan, which runs around 30USD.
Centurylink
-I WAS on Comcast, but they were so bad we ended up dropping them.
-Problem is there's either CL or CC, it's a small town.
--So small the nearest theater & major hospital is about half a hour a way, depending on how fast you drive.
While I've had a lot of issues with Comcast they are rather decent when it comes to upgrading their network just really bad about replacing older modems. It really just all depends on the area you live. Doing an internet speed test and comparing the results would probably be a good idea. I've got the 30Mbps/down 4Mbps/up for $50. Which I'm getting my monies worth since I'm hitting 4MB/sec down and 500KB/sec up which beats Comcast's 25Mbps/down Performance plan. 10Mbps plan is pretty low. Check out your ISP's other plans and see if your modem might be bottle necking your connection while your at it. If anyone else in your household is using the internet it could potentially lower your overall DL and UP speed too. It sucks, but you may just have to upgrade your service plan.
Edit:
I just know that Comcrap is really bad about throwing in hidden costs. Not to mention, I've had a lot of friends tell me that they would cancel services and still get billed for them. One of them had a service that lasted 6 months after he cancelled and kept having to call Comcast to sort it out.
Edit: Unfortunately as I was looking through CenturyLink's data plans for internet the only plan you would be comfortable with is the 40mbps/5mbps one which is $70 USD monthly and you must adhere to a 13-month contract. You'd be better off with Comcast in all honesty. $59-73 USD (cost depending on location) will get you 50Mbps/down 10Mbps/up.
