I'd say we are all forgetting about Leibnitz who first documented (maybe even discovered) the binary system (some claim he discovered it while talking to his mother)

Dunno why but I hate it when people I hate laugh at my jokes.
Completely off topic, but may I ask where your avatar's from?

Incidently, it's Captain Marvel, Vol. 3, Issue 6.

Alan Turing...? Haven't you heard of the enigma code he broke (with help from others)...?
No...?
Huh. I guess your teacher covered other things in history class.

I had a lot of US History and never heard of that guy... But it rarely ever got to modern times. They always started back before it was settled, rarely getting very far past the Civil War cause that always took ages.

It's interesting how different the priorities in history class are based on where the school is located in the world.
We passed the Civil War far too quickly to get a good understanding of it.

If you mean the American civil war that makes perfect sense. All I learned in history was shit about the natives. Which made me realize they got fucked, but I still don't want to support an entire nation.

OnT: old friend/relationships coming up again at bad times.

I'm gunna leave you anyway.

The major problem is I'm living with other people so I'd have to convince THEM to help pay/switch to another provider.

And they're not nearly as 'tech savvy' as I am.
-Not that I'm some 0101 type, but compared to them I might as well be Alan Turing.
It's pretty bad when I have to look up the dude's name just to understand the joke. Heh.
I'm a HUGE history buff.

One of those 'Steve Jobs & Bill Gates were nothing more than car sales men; Alan Turing & Steve Wozniak are/were THE people we should be remembering'.
Now that I think about it a bit more. I may have heard his name before and just forgot because all of it sounds familiar. I have a terrible memory... so it's no surprise. I think it was on a show that was like a geeky jeopardy, or it actually was jeopardy.

I disliked our history class when I was in school since it was entirely too narrow. Then again, due to my circumstances, I had to drop out of school during my freshman year and so I have a GED instead.

Some weird-smelling gas from outside filled the building and kept me from sleeping all night until it was about 8:30am, so I only slept 3 hours today. :(

I'm gonna rant. This might hurt some people who know whom they are but that's just basic facts to get and understand. You're the one in control of your life. Not someone else.

I'm currently unable to do any kind of work out that puts pressure on my ankle but I do the rest maybe once a week. Seriously I'm to lazy for doing to much work out, and the healthier people don't work out that much, instead they go for a nice walk every evening. They don't limit themselves completely with food, they simply care a little more about what they use. E.g. if you fry something do it in olive oil or rape oil, as those are somewhat healthier. I simply limit myself in terms of not eating to much and walking all distances that are within 45 minutes of walking. That + housework keeps me somewhat in shape, although I probably need to do some abdominal training

We met a nice elderly lady, she was in her early 90s and was in really good health. She walks, talks, and she can see with her glasses (they looked nice, and expensive). My mother asked for her age and she mentioned she's in her early 90s. My mother thought she was in her 60s. The trick? Walking everyday, about a mile or more a day. She eats healthy, too. So you really don't need to work out at all but at least go do something.

There are several superb overweight people who cannot walk so much, so you start off with weights and riding bicycles in real life or in the gym. Those two help out a lot to reduce the fats inside your body. But do avoid what I mentioned - Sugars, Sodium, Fats from Calories, Total Fats (everything underneath that!) and Cholesterol - in that order. Avoid all oil foods and junk foods and fast foods. Go with Wheat bread and increase your fiber in-take and carbs (morning and afternoons only for carbs). 2-3 bottles of water a day. I mean just those things really help out a lot. Increase your fruit and vegetables, and reduce meats all together - Chicken and Turkey breast and about any seafood should be your meats only.

Anyways, yea I ranted pretty hard yesterday. I wasn't thinking. I met one of my co-workers at the gym and he was like "Yea, you should really join". I thought it was some random dude, I turn around and see him I was like "DUDE!" lol. We won't see each other since we're on different times.

I took care of this customer about a month ago, who out of no where .. OUT OF NO WHERE said to me "Why are you looking at me like that?". I'm like "what?" and she rumbles about others who looked at her weird and her family when she was on vacation. I had no ill intentions in my mind at the time. The lady is about 5" and was really overweight, her fucking stomach was sticking out, her belly is and her shirt wasn't able to cover it. In her shorts, displaying her spider veins. At that moment, I stayed silent and finished what she needed and this is what I was thinking:

Urgh .. But regardless, exercising gives you a better and healthier body - stronger immune system, reduces cancer, and gives you other benefits.

Why do you have such animosity towards such people?

Why do you care so much about their lack of health?

Just take solace in the fact that you'll most likely out-live them and get on with your fucking life.

I don't care about their health, wealth or their position. I think you've missed the point of what I'm trying to create and this thread is about things that piss you off. So I ranted what I had in my mind yesterday.

http://jnci.oxfordjournals.org/content/86/18/1403.abstract

interesting little article about cancer risk reduction in women. Though afaik excercise raises the risk for myoma while reducing the risk of colon and breast cancer. To be precise it could also raise the risk of cancer caused by androgens as those are generated by the body during excercise, but since these cancers aren't as present as the other two mentioned above there are no studies in that area.

Essentially the animosity towards those people originates in the fact that they can't move, might get social benefits for that and use those toe gain more weight. There are rare cases where they have an illness, and if that's the case I won't say anything, but if it's their own fault they have to deal with it.
