press on the end of my finger, blood seeps out from underneath my fingernail. Oh joy, it's only been a week since my finger was crushed, I'd have thought it would start healing by now, but yeah... guess not
Have you seen your doctor? You might need to drain it, especially if it's painful, but I'd only do that after you see a doctor (if they want you to).
Unfortunately, where I live, the closest doctor is 45 minutes away (at least) and always booked out by appointments weeks in advance. You can usually get in without an appt. but my work hours don't coincide very well with the hours of the doctor.
Working 6am to 5pm 4 days a week and 6am to 1pm on Fridays, leaves me very little time to even phone for an appointment, much less actually get to it.
I'll be going in on Friday, so hopefully they can fit me in or make an appointment.
While it hurts to touch anything with my fingers, its not painful if left alone. However, there is a lot of pressure and I can't close a fist even a little, or fully extend the fingers, every time I try to, it is more painful than bumping them. Feels like someone taking a block of steel and dropping a whole tree on my hand, all over again.
