Oh yes. It very much is.
I've visited it a lot of times. Not once did I reserve a room before hand.
There's always a woman willing to offer a place for the night for a handsome young man.

Because we can!

It's the old industrial centre of Finland.
Though nowadays it's quite the beautiful city with pretty clean air and nice people.

Beats this area twenty to zero.

Because we can!

Well that is True, Tampere beats Helsinki, but both of them lose to Espoo. ;D

Naah, There are no slums in Finland. Better than 99% of other countries to live in.

Espoo sucks even more. There's no reason to visit Espoo. Ever.
At least Helsinki has places worthy of visiting. Though if I had a choice I wouldn't be living here. This city really does suck.

Because we can!

ah, but Espoo was listed as the best city to live in Finland :P
ya know, it is next to Helsinki, it has average clean air, It is somewhat beautiful, It has better Ice-Hockey team than Tampere (though, it was better as Kiekko Espoo... Espoon Blues is just so lame...), it isn't so expensive to live here, etc, etc, A lot better place than Helsinki and in a lot better point on the map than Tamoere :P I agree with that the country-side of Tampere is Beatiful and nice place, I hate the city, reminds me of Helsinki, exept that the traffic goes more smoothly. Joonas, you must know that the Traffic in Helsinki is a living Hell.

I have to disagree about that.
Nothing is good in Espoo, air is shitty(compared to central Helsinki it's better but compared to rest of Finland it sucks), everything is in Helsinki(because it's so close why have anything ourselves mentality, is expensive to live in, it's on coast and it's an ugly place(again, not compared to Helsinki but the rest of Finland).

BTW. I find Tampere to be at a pretty good place(only bad because of the Finnish railroad system was built from a defensive stand-point which means no cross-country railroads) and that it's quite the beautiful city.

Ps. Traffic living hell? Traffic here rules! You can get anywhere, anytime with public transportation. Everyone's polite if you're driving a car. There are cycling paths all around. Only point of whining is that there are roadworks everywhere.
You should have tried Savonlinna's traffic. No public transportation outside of school starts/school ends times and only to main areas. Everyone's a jackass when you're on wheels. No cycling paths. Fricking bridges that are open everyday at 2 pm EVEN ON FRIDAYS' TRAFFIC JAMS! When it's winter the russian trucks are always stuck IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY!

Because we can!

Well I quess that everyone has their own opinion :P BUT for person who doesn't live in Helsinki the traffic relly is a living Hell at the central Helsinki... I get lost everytime if I use public  transportation or cars. I only find my way with cycle and walking.
And I've been in Savonlinna at sumer, I wouldn't like to live there, but it was a nice place. Olavinlinna was nice. But I like Turku wuite a bit. I can' understand why a lot of people I know say this "Turku on suomen Perseenreikä" just makes me wonder that, have they never relly visited there for a longer period... Also, I love Hanko. I want to move there when I get older, I just love that place... Oh! and this is a Draw.
