Please read the scenario below and vote. Suspension?

Even if what you did was right OP, from the schools point of view I don't think they have a choice but to suspend you if the whole incident ended in a fist fight. They obviously don't want students going vigilante.
Proper thing to do would've been to alert the teaching staff or security people and let them deal with it.

And to think these are the kind of people in charge of educating the future generation.
I always settle things like this outside the school, and not wearing the uniform, if you have one.

This, of course, still would have resulted in a suspension for all involved parties. If you're going to intervene in someone else's situation, I say, take his ass down. As far as the school is concerned, the consequences for the guy intervening will be the same regardless.

however if this scenario occurs thats when lawsuits happen when the kid who stood there and took a beating gets 10 days out.
Yea its been policy in most school for the past decade or so for a no tolerance policy. Everyone involved who didnt go and get a teacher or admin gets 10 days unless their parents complain.
And realistically fighting outside of school, some schools like the high school i went too will suspend students for fighting outside of school. Since they kinda assume in small towns in nice areas you didnt get mugged and werent fighting random other people its not an anime where you went down the street to fight another high school. There is 2 kids beat up in classes and they say its not their parents beating them.
