Please read the scenario below and vote. Suspension?
Takeshi:
In Psychology school I heard that some girls have said they're pregnant to their boyfriends so they wouldn't leave them. Just one of the many situations where a bitch-slap would be in order. Shoving a girl into a locker seems rather unfit for such a situation though.
JoonasTo:
Wasn't really your business but as that wasn't the question I voted no.
Hard to say without further knowledge but it sure sounds like the girl should have had less punishment.

2) How do you know the chick wasn't in the wrong (like she attacked him first)?
3) Why the fuck didn't you get her number?

LOL. It's obvious who is well out of college in this thread.
High-school posters: yeah, kick his ass, be a hero anime-style.
Older dudes: the girl, the girl, the girl!
As for the OP's experience, I wouldn't really care about the scene. If anything, I would just stare at the couple, see if he truly bitchslaps her or just in case anything else exciting happens. Seriously, when you stare at people, most of the time they feel they are being observed and stop.
This reminds me when I was riding a bus to uni, two skinny middle-schoolers (one of them had a girlfriend) started to punch each other, just right next to me. I didn't move a muscle, other people just started yelling "Gonna call the police!", "Lock 'em up, that'll teach 'em!", and stuff.
Meh, I just don't care about things that happen to other people anymore.
Scudworth:
If what you say is true then you did the right thing and the schools decision is bullshit.
To keep their "no tolerance" policy in tact you needed to be punished, but should have revived like a 2 day token suspension. (less than the bully for sure)
As for the girl. She might have started something but shoving her in a locker is cowardly and not the right way to handle it, no matter what she did.
If everything you said is true and the girl will be a witness you might be able to make a case out if it. If you were hit first then all you did was self defense. A successful assault charge on the perpetrator might make the school rethink the decision. But it would probably be thrown out.
The real problem is the other guys parents. I can only imagine how they are raising him when they come to his defense after something like this. If it was my kid he would have the full suspension and an ass whooping to go along with it.
tomoya-kun:
If you felt that you followed the correct course of action, it doesn't matter if you get suspended. It's better to do whats right then to be a bystander. If your parents are reasonable, they will understand that you were doing what's right
