Hey, I would've done the same thing. Not only that, but I would've punched that guy first and after ask that girl out. Is she cute?
Oh, and one other thing... I'd just show up at school, I'm pretty sure that almost everybody will back you up. Just prepare a ''hero-speech'', with armor-piercing question and you'll be fine.
Also, you'll probably going to be the central subject of many discussions. Just be careful now, you'll be the center of attention, don't make a foul of yourself and don't draw attention. Act normal.

I know that I deserved a suspension, and I knew that going into the fight. My school (Public.) Has a no-tolerance policy, but apparently they can show lenience with someone who's mother threatens the school.

1.The dude's known around the school for being a d***, and regardless of the situation, guy's aren't supposed to shove girls into lockers.
2.No, I'm not dating the girl.
3.I already had her number.
4.No hero speech for me:Do not want. That wouldn't be acting myself anyway.
5. Showing up for school at all is a big No-No, that would make my situation a hell of a lot worse.

Hopefully this clears things up: I'm not trying to whine, or to ask "whai I haz suspenshun?"
The girl was breaking up with the guy because (See Bullet 1.) he's a chode to her. Specifics aren't important, but just keep in mind it's HighSchool Drama.

Get the notes for when you are missing, you don't want to screw up a test.  Maybe find out what the homework was and have it complete?

I think what the school wants you to do, is to run away like a little girl and try to get a teacher involved.

But I would have probably done the same thing you did.

Its not just about running away like a little girl. Its living to fight another day. Get a teacher involved = Girl saved, you don't get suspended. Win win. Whats considered girlish about it? Going in headfirst to tackle the guy, "saving the girl" end up suspended considered manly?

You must have gone to a high school with a total population of what? 300, maybe as many as 500 people?

My high school had over 4000 students (crammed into a school meant for half that many). I only knew the other kids in band and the other kids in my grade that took honors and advanced placement classes (with a few exceptions; the seniors in my AP Calc BC course, and the juniors in my AP Statistics course, since you could take either one in junior and/or senior year; and the mix of juniors and seniors in my AP Computer Science course, again, available to either juniors or seniors); most of the latter only by sight, not by name.

Most of the student populous wouldn't have known or cared who you were. Doubly so since my school was very cliqueish.

The linear nature of your Euclidean geometry both confounds and befuddles me.

true story unless there was police or ambulance involved only people who know those people and a couple groups outside of those directly involved usually know about small incidents like that. I only had 1400 kids in my HS and it was like that

Your fault for entering said scenario without knowing the situation. What if that girl had done something that deserves that treatment?

Until i find out the reasons behind the "treatment" all bullshittery must stop until further notice, if her actions led to the incident then hell yeah let her be fed to the sharks.

I would say that punishment was more or less fair. As there was a fight. Thou I do find that people who was punished was wrong ones. Girl did nothing as stand there (or blabbered something and got punished for that, so she must be the most guilty one), you just went on defending female, and that is noble, nothing to be blamed for and for sure you are not the one who started the fight. Other male must be the one who must get the longest suspension, but eh. World is not fair.....

I remember being kid and hitting other girl with sport shoes because she insulted me (harpy is quite aggressive, and when she was a kind she did not control her impulses, she did a lot of aggressive stuff back then). And this one time I accidentally hit out my classmates teeth with the end of broom while sweeping, but that was not my fault, the person stood behind me, I did not see him. And this other time I accidentally pushed a girl while playing and she got contused a bit, I think she had to put some stitchs on her ear, her mother even forbid her to play with me :D  But then again - I never got punished for these actions, just a note for hitting the girl with sport shoes and my mother ignored it.
We did not get suspended or anything back when I was in schools (pre uni), just a serious talk and note to parents. But then again - we never fought in school, we did it all after school :D

...Men are so necessarily mad that it would be another twist of madness not to be mad...

Just enjoy your little vacation with your mind at ease because you did the right thing.

Also, enjoy this drama while you can. You probably will never feel this kind of thrill again when you leave high school ^_^

From the information listed here. No it wasn't fair to the girl.

There is a lot of lacking information though. Why was she shoved? Did she do something to spark that?

Stepping between is the right action. When society progresses so far that it is the wrong action to try to help it won't be fun.

I don't understand why people keep wondering about the girl's actions. It's obviously something simple, like breaking up with the other dude. Women don't need to do anything excessive to spark men's aggressive behavior, it's our nature.

Men, who seemingly love their other half and treat them nice, can snap and lose their minds in microseconds, it's all about the testosterone.

Girl: hi there sweety-pie. Oh, you gained some weight.
Man: what??? Don't call me FAT you BITCH! *fucking breaks her nose*

^ Almost happened to me. She kept saying I was fat, when in fact she was probably 1 kilo heavier than me.

just because you wanted to break a bitches nose for calling you fat doesnt mean most guys would.
And pushing a girl into a locker because she did something possibly horrible isnt really all that extreme its not like he was bashing her face into the locker or sitting there punching her.

Its like chris rock always said, ide never hit a lady but ide shake that fucking bitch half to death before i let her swing at me(or something to that affect its been like 10 years since i heard it)

I feel for you dude, i would have done the exact same thing. Even if the girl did something "wrong" and was "deserving" of that kind of treatment i would have acted the same way you did.
Thankfully in my school (ugh, an all boys school....) if you can prove you that you were hit first, and made no aggressive physical contact with said person who hit you first, only the one who delivered the first hit is suspended (love that face bout my school ^^).
With that in mind if i were your principal i would have only suspended the dude that hit you.

I don't see any reason why you or the girl would be suspended...

Question: does "suspension" imply anything else than "you are forbidden to go to the school for x days"? I'm asking because we don't have such punishment in the schools here, usually you get a grade for how well you behave; that grade by default is 10 (maximum), and it gets lowered if you start fights/destroy stuff/etc. The only punishment similar to "suspension" is being kicked&permabanned from your school and having to look for another school to take you in.

Not here, suspension means just that. Sometimes, depending on the reason and/or number of infractions, the school might deem it necessary for 'all parties involved' to perform 'X' hours of community service, but I highly doubt that will happen.

Also,if you're on a sports team, you can't perform during your suspension, and the coach, if he/she thinks it's necessary, may hold you from playing in a game. I'm not on a sport team, so that's none of my concern though.

That's odd, at my school you are not aloud to leave your house and they check at random times.

No, That's odd. Well, at least for us. I can go anywhere, except the School, or the bus stops. They can't really know if I go to a bus stop, but my school considers that 'property' of the school. So if a fight occurs at the bus stop, before OR after school, the school can dish out the punishment.

Uhm, well, is "suspension" even a punishment then? Here, we all tried hard NOT to go to school... faking medical problems and such, or simply skipping classes to go have a beer... (do not confuse not going to school with not studying, that's totally different and almost completely unrelated)

Wow.  If anything occurs that involves a student, you can get suspended.  Someone got suspended for a fight at the park 1km away from the school.
