oh this can be really fun if you challenge them by asking most stupid and obvious questions and watch them struggle to find answer (this happens because only the new members have to go out and find more follower...and after some time talking to these kind of people you get quite skillfull at asking the right questions that they just can not answer without getting into logical mistakes. I dont mean like logical logical, religion is not logical at all(if one believes in it), but they just mess up in what they say. They wish that religion would tell the thing they are thinking, but most of the time it does not... )

Ooh yes, I did that a lot and it sure was funny. But trolling stupid/indoctrinated people is only funny so many times... and I got bored doing it. I'm still waiting for someone who will actually come with some valid arguments to counter mine, but so far no luck :(

oh how could I forget this one... We had this one professor who seem to be sleeping during the class (most of us could swear that his eyes were closed) and playing recording of his voice

Haha, that's an epic professor you've had. One friend of mine who was at an art school had a sculpture and "manual arts" (or something) professor who came drunk to classes and would fall asleep. Once they made this huuuge dong out of clay, placed it under his head and took pictures. Then distributed them anonymously through the school.

On topic: walking to the university every day 2Km is boring. Then another 2Km from there -> back home. These are not that boring :)

About 98.5% of everything that's on TV.

+1 on the Old People, sort of: the batty, jabbering, religiously insane ones that repeat the same, banal garbage over and over (e.g.: "Let me tell you about my conversion to Jesus.  Again.  For the 20th time.").

I actually seek out some of the more Ancient Ones among us.  They know some amazing things and are living history, if they're still lucid enough.  For example, I learned a lot of herbs lore when in Latvia from several wonderful old witches from the countryside.  NOT bored at all!

Dinner parties and "high society" events are soul-crushing.  Can't stand the empty, plastic mannequins strutting around in their pompous suits and evening jewelry.  I've been to a number of diplomatic and consulate events where I'd rather rape my eyes out with a fistfull of broken glass.

There's a special little hate-box locked away in my heart for people who start lecturing me on topics on which they are illiterate and ignorant, but which I've spent 20 or 30 years studying at academic levels.  It's 10,000x worse when I have to politely smile and be quiet while they blather on and on about about how their ignorance trumps the knowledge of people with multiple PhDs in the subject.

hmmmm ,,,maybe shoulda posted that last one in the > Things that piss you off! thread ...

But, it sure bores me to death.

+1 on that.  I didn't list it because I don't really do it anymore .. not for many, many years. ]

I do get these half brain using people to now and then
And there is always a possibility to take over the conversation and make them think that things that they say can be understood without religion. And then you can convince them that you fully agree with them and then take out a tobacco and roll one. And then you can make them think that they have convinced you and ask them all about how is the order in their " church". And then you can also totally agree with them on everything and bitch about non-believers. And then you can take what they have said and analyse to them from with belief/moral system parts of their "religion"  is taken. And then you can bring them into discussion about what is religion and why it is needed. And... and...and...
For the most part now I like to pretend that I am a "stray sheep" that have to leaded on the right way. I even have attended some meetings they have and made fun of that as well.... I know I am bored :D I should get a hobby.......

ROFL now that found fun
we also had a professor that loved to come to work a bit drunk or hangoverish, but he was quite fun to have
and then we had this professor that held symposiums in his cabinet and allowed us to smoke in there and even bought us some wine (but that was just when we got to study to master degree, before that he was huge pain in the ass)

You must be missing out on the most important part of fishing then... DRINKING!
I dont go fishing, I go drinking with a fishing pole.

On topic; long drives.

TV in America is boring. all the shows are just about the same as the next. so many people are addicted to "reality" TV and American Idol, it makes me sick.  - i didn't like the song when i first heard it, dont go on American Idol and sing it worse than the original!
i would rather watch a documentary on ocean life than see one more copy/paste sitcom. really, this is why i watch anime, nobody has an imagination anymore. same goes for movies. its been a looooong time since i saw something as good as Shawshank Redemption, but the last time i went to a theater, i saw Cloverfield.....and never wasted my money on that nonsense again.
