yeah ok, i just watched it. im not gonna overreact and give this some super praise.....it was okay i guess. i lol'd maybe twice. the only good thing i can really say was that the music was good. the ED song was original sounding, i just may download it. i might wait until the show is complete and wait for a batch torrent.

overall, i certianly like Stocking more than Panty.....she's not really my type.

Explain to me why this show is so good, as I don't get it. All I saw was 20 minutes of extremely unfunny stuff, more-in-your-face innuendo than any show I've seen till date and very unlikeable characters.

I wonder if people would still have loved this so much if it was a full-blown American production and not an anime, let alone one made by Gainax.

this show is a parody of a few other american cartoons mate, and i laughed only a few times, but the first "boss" was much more funny than the second one, too bad the transformation was only once done, it was the best looking transformation I seen in ages

And I'd like to point out at the authors favourite example. If you change "Pierdolnąć obrazek na ścianę" into "Pierdolnąć obrazek na ścianie" as a result you will get "To draw a picture on the wall" as opose to "To hang a picture on the wall"

Also, about the Polish curses, that looks interesting, and a bit complicated and more intelligent than some other languages I've seen Still, Romanian curses are an art, too bad I don't have an example, but we made it in the Top 9 Most Devastating Insults list (top spot, yay!)

It's not that any of the particular jokes are extremely funny - well at least for me they aren't.
But it's the in your face, over the top ridiculousness and energy that this show - as they say, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. On their own, the jokes wouldn't be that good - but all of them together, with that art, in this particular anime, work great.

I also think it's funny that so much shit is based off of Western stuff (the police and their cars, especially). Japanese police and emergency vehicles only use red lights, not red and blue, nor are they that well armed.
