well I wouldn't worry that much. It's kinda interesting since you can have a sorta of a harem anime and not going in a Tenchi Solution with all the girls

Having arcs completely destroys any character development or story that this anime was developing.

really? I think the series manage to give a good glimpse out of each character.
I would also believe that different situations might bring different character developments. Tbh, I would wait to the end of the series to criticize it in full.

Amagami has done the same thing, you can see how things are going to turn out. I had high expectations for this as well, it's exactly as you say it is, a glimpse of each character. You never "really" get to know any of the characters well.

I don't feel that it's as shallow as one might think, but then again, who knows. maybe you can get to know each character better even in an arc that does not relate to them.

Your quote broke, and I think that the groping was censored so that a younger audience could watch it. Maybe they get better airing times, who knows.
