I rather liked the first episode myself. The main guy, Keima, is actually kind of funny when he begins to analyze the various situations playing out and how he has mapped the end route to her heart. And in the end, he triumphs! The pacing was a little bit slow, that is for sure, but I think that will most likely be a temporary, or at least hopefully an infrequent occurrence.
I can definitely see the situation for some frequent hijinx and hilarious events to arise from this show. I am keeping tuned in for this one personally.
