Him being a nerdy douche is kind of the point.  It's basically a huge parody of all of the typical stereotypes seen in galge or harem type anime/manga.

I rather liked the first episode myself. The main guy, Keima, is actually kind of funny when he begins to analyze the various situations playing out and how he has mapped the end route to her heart. And in the end, he triumphs! The pacing was a little bit slow, that is for sure, but I think that will most likely be a temporary, or at least hopefully an infrequent occurrence.

I can definitely see the situation for some frequent hijinx and hilarious events to arise from this show. I am keeping tuned in for this one personally.

I also like how it's like "Flag 1", b/c in VNs if you play without guide it can be incredibly hard to get some of the routes.  I couldn't figure out Primula's route in shuffle for ages.

a little late, but i just watched ep 1. it was actually pretty good, not at all what i was expecting. that demon girl can change what the girls are wearing lol, thats going to be fun. i can totally see him saying something like "wardrobe malfunctions at the beach are standard" and she'll make it happen ha ha ha. i wonder how many cliche anime scenes we're gonna get out of this anime... i always enjoy a good hot spring scene.

it would be nice if real life worked like a dating sim.

Am I crazy for believing there's some type of "Welcome to the NHK" Vibe in this anime?

Granted, I never actually got past the first ep of that series...


Wait, I got it. It's got one of those, "Ha ha, you're a loner" sort of vibe. (At least in ep 1). Idk if the relationship with the girl will change that vibe later on though.

if it happens let it happen. . .but I dont want soryon to tell me "yeah just wait a couple of chapters more and I like the scene thats following this, you'll like it gogeta" and then do that to me for 25 episodes. . .till I can get what I wanted after the whole series is over. . .

My personal guess. That is how it works. BUT, the main char falls in love with someone else who doesn't notice, or remember anything about him.

Either that or they release the Super PFP SE with rubber grip.
