Kusanagi artbooks

(1/1)

Hymilt:
I'd be very happy if someone would upload these. As you see from my link, the art in it is breathtaking. Sadly, it is very hard to find them, where I live...

Thank you guys...

datora:
.
I'll second that request, if anyone has any of these books they can offer.

Here's an ebay offer with some photos of some of the content of one of those books:

It looks like pretty magnificent art & I'd certainly enjoy having any of it.  I currently live near Philadelphia and might be willing to do scanning if that would help ..?  I'll have to check what's available to me & see if it meets quality standards, but I'm technically pretty meticulous to the limits of my resources, and I handle all books like the treasures they are.

[ EDIT:  Since I didn't know who "Kusanagi" was until Hymilt brought it up, I've been intrigued enough to start googling around.  From the original link & some creative googling, I located a page that lists about ten artbooks with short reviews and a few dozen photos to demonstrate the content.

For anyone else who wasn't aware:

草薙 (Kusanagi) is a Japanese artist group that creates background art for animation and computer games.

Sample of titles they've contributed to:

 • 鋼の錬金術師 (Fullmetal Alchemist), the movie and series
(Onegai Teacher)
(El-Hazard)
(Futakoi Alternative)
(Noein)
(Sakura Taisen)
(Digital Devil Saga)
(Arc The Lad)
(Front Mission Online)
 • Bokura No Kazoku
GOLF (Everybody's Golf)
 • Ganbare Goemon
 • Quiz Magic Academy 2
 • Suteradeus
IX (Final Fantasy IX)
X (Final Fantasy X)
XII (Final Fantasy XII)
 • Codename FS

So, yeah, that explains why the art grabbed my attention so hard and I'm even more interested in any artbooks by this studio than ever before.

Also intriguing, is this link:

Which introduces (to me, at least) a Japanese art magazine published approximately quarterly that specializes in anime & games and such.

While I couldn't begin to read the content, I certainly would appreciate looking at the pretty pictures ( ;D ) if anyone has any issues that could be offered.  No. 5 was published in 2007, so there should be about 20 or more total issues by now, assuming they've continued to publish.

Thanks!  :)
