Anime Torrents
« on: October 10, 2010, 05:41:30 PM »
not really sure where to put this, so I figured I would put this here. there is going to be a poll along with it as well. SO, if you can't find an Anime/OVA/OST (such as the princess lover OST that I can't find anywhere) here what do you do next? do you go to another site? if so which site? or do you give up?

This also can be anime that has been licensed and removed from here too.

Personally if I can't find it here I either go to nyaa or demonoid. I used to use demonoid first, but the quality of their torrents has dropped considerably since the new owners took over.

(Oh and by the way if anyone knows where I can find the princess lover OST FOR THE SAKE OF GOD PLEASE TELL ME!!!)

In all, I'm just curious as to what you guys do.

I usually hit up MAL to check which fansub got the highest approval, then I go to that site and the fansubs usually have their torrents hosted on Nyaa. Soo I chose the 'go to the fansub group page' option.

Anime Searching: nyaa -> TT -> google -> DC -> PD (last resort)
(of course, if I knew who subbed it, the fansubber's site would be first)

OST/OP-ED-Song Searching: minglong -> nyaa ->TT -> gendou -> mediafire/megaupload -> DC

following your ayako example:

I have a brain function script written:
{ADB/ANN/MAL for info on groups}
searching title on TT>NYAA>SUBGROUPS
{if Ayako}
extended search
{if no other group but Ayako}
/cry ~_~!
-extending search for raws
-editing Ayako's scrpit
-profit
-end of behavior scrip relating to Ayako's releases
-program closed.

I have always disliked Ayako, cuz they always mess something up, always, dunn owhy, they just do, and it annoys me terribly,

but in general, I check on MLA to look for info, and then TT>NYAA, don't even use DC or other crap, thats my bandwidth (I do have Unlimited Bandwidth Works)
but I don't want to waste it like that, I learned to edit scripts a few years ago, thought it would be useless, I'm glad I did it anyways, how wrong I would have been :P

^ You edit the scripts if they're a bit bad? Even for TV releases? Whoah... that must be a lot of work. I usually wait for the BDs.

Only once I had to do stuff by myself, since NOBODY considered 11eyes a good enough show to put some subs on the 1080p BD-raws, even though they weren't upscales.

I don't edit all that much, but If I want to archive a show, I'd rather do it properly, so that I wouldn't waste time later on for shit subbing where you get for instance all possible fails on honorifics where once you get localized honorifics, sometimes you don't see them, and sometimes they are there, I just fix stuff that really annoys me, and Ayako always mess something up, either an encode is bad at some point, or some annoying mistake in subs, I don't remember a single release they made that didn't have something wrong with it.

If I'm looking for a manga/anime/other, I won't stop searching it on the net until I find it or I'm sure as hell there is no trace of it. since I like the idea of preserving stuff from extinction, I'm very motivated when it's hard to find, even if I don't like that particular manga/anime very much.
bakabt is the first options, then come torrentz.com, google, download sites, etc.. my geek cousin is the last option, if he doesn't find it either, I accept I must surrender.

Same here.
I've never had a situation where nether didn't have a show I wanted to watch, but if that happened then I would just look on the subber's site and check other torrent sites like demonoid.

Yeah we know, shows like that usually have a crapluster plot but the BGM set is awesome.
Did you know Satan was supposedly gods RIGHT HAND MAN, not his left. Blows your theory out of the water now doesn't it.

you need to add tokyotosho to the list, because i go there before i go there first.

basically, BBT if i know the season is complete. if its not on there i go on TT and 99% of the time i find my shit there. TT been around for many ages.

why? it sucks. most of the time it takes you to a website that the torrent doesn't even exist on anymore.

Sometimes it really helps find stuff though.  It's getting better.

it was worse a long, long time ago. right now they improved the system and by far it's used a lot more than nyaatorrents or other places i used to go to. for example, animesuki only shows non-licensed anime. i used fire up animesuki, TT and boxtorrents (which is now bakabt now) and i used to go to downloadanime.org if i remember correctly. DL-anime.org changed and became horrible to me, or more like i just couldn't adapt to the crap they did so i dropped it. animesuki was good until i learned about license and non-licensed so i dropped that and focused on TT and boxtorrents ... so far, i find everything i need on BakaBT and TT. if it's not on BBT, it's on TT.

it makes you wonder why people are still using TT, just refresh it ever minute or two and you'll see new additions. it is that famous for sticking around.
