yeah when files are hosted somewhere that doesn't ban your country IP and you have an account that allows fast download speeds, it's great :)

For me it's usually BakaBT -> group sites -> ThePirateBay -> Google -> eMule if the series is complete. If the series is not complete, I go straight to group site or just use BakaUpdates RSS feed. Sometimes I will download from the group site even if the torrent is available on BBT, so I can seed it on BBT and have higher ratio :)

i stopped using TPB in around 2006, for some reason it's either unseeded or it has a lot of Trojans and viruses :P

You just gotta think before hitting the download, I've used it for a great deal of time and avoided getting trojans and viruses. ::)

it's very easy there to hit the wrong button, whenever I had to use TPB I was very careful where I click, good thing all "actual" links are always below in the corner when you hover over one link :)

I use TT to find things, in general.  For stuff that's old enough torrents are dead or just slow, irc is the next place I look (usually through is-fabulous' packlist webgui).  If it's in neither of those places, then I'll start looking at isoHunt, animebyt.es, the DDL sites, random google searches, etc.
Projects of interest: nagi | sheska | bdg

Stuff can be found at Hongfire as well.  I like there, a lot of OVAs I could not find I found there.

For OSTs etc I usually use Nipponsei/FFFpeeps music or Google to find what I want.

For Anime though my thinking process is usually:

Add in TT next to Nyaa though.

I hate hongfire... but maybe that's because I ran into a lot of retards when I used to post there.

Granted, I wasn't the brightest bulb in those days too... but I think hongfire lowers IQ depending on the people that try to talk to you.

Maybe users are stupid, i don't know, but sometimes I found stuff on Hongfire that I couldn't find anywhere else. it's a good source imho.

nice behavior script :)

as for Hongfire, I rarely go there, the site has gone downhill, finding anything of sense is nearly impossible, one title can have 300 topics :P

their search engine was great in the past, now it's full of crap.

I do agree however that you can find some gems there, too bad most of them aren't being seeded anymore :P

The pirate bay can sometimes have what your looking for, but I did get virus in the past.  I don't have any anti-virus, so...

For anything currently airing my first stop is normally Baka-updates

And did NekoZabuza ever find the Princess Lover OVA?  There is a thread created here about it that has the location in it.

Hongfire is for VN's not for anime, well at least I wouldn't use it for anime.

Finished Anime - BBT > Nyaa > TT (I learned about TT a few days ago) > Google and usually I'll find it here.
Unfinished Anime - Check Baka-updates first then fansubber's site always if unseeded then Nyaa
OST - Nipponsei > Google

I find it very interesting so many people didn't know about TT until this thread (considering i discovered Boxtorrents through a dead torrent link i found on TT).

As for me, if it's not on here i check what's on TT and cross reference AniDB etc. for best subs. I rarely have to go past that stage. If i do i hit up isohunt/google/demonoid until i find it (in no real order). I think the hardest one i ever had to find was a good rip of Xenosaga and even then it was hard subbed. =/
