I thought that usually produces the tracker error message "this torrent has been swapped or removed" or something like that. Not a scrape error...

Depends on the client. I know for a fact that the web gui for utorrent gives DICK all for errors. All it shows is error... does not give you what type of error it is. Big big big big big pain in the ass when you're trying to troubleshoot a SB.

I use vuze, yes I have restarted my client and my computer. I can't find the torrents to re-download them.

edit: I re-found Inuyasha Music Collection, but all the rest are gone.

edit: well crap, its re-downloading all 8 gig's because it doesn't recognize the completed one as the same thing.
oh and before you say that maybe its not the same one, it is. I looked in my bookmarks and its the same one, it even had the bookmark star. the person who swapped it must have made some change that is messing everything up.

It's really pretty easy to see whether or not something's been swapped.  And they improved the torrent, rather than messing it up. ;)

And to add to Xiong's comment, bookmarks don't matter. It's the hosted torrent file that changed; everything else about the page, including the URL, hasn't changed, so your bookmarks should still point to the same page, just with the swapped file.

And please read the Wiki about how to re-seed before you finish re-downloading everything.

Azureus
If you have downloaded something but removed it from Azureus and wish to seed it again, follow these steps:
Please Note: You must re-download the .torrent file.
Go to Azureus > File > Open > Torrent File...
Select the .torrent file for the data from its location on your hard drive
Select the location where the file you want to seed is stored
Wait for Azureus to finish checking the file. When it does, the file will move automatically from the download window into the seeding window
If the torrent does not move into the seeding window on its own: Right-click on newly created entry in the download window of the My Torrents view. Select Force Re-check. The value in the 'Done' column will count from 0% to 100%. Upon reaching 100%, the file will be moved to the seeding list on the bottom of the My Torrents tab.
If you do not have the original .torrent file but the original data, try this:
Download the file again
Azureus will check it out
Azureus will move it to the seeding list (the process is very quick)

http://wiki.bakabt.me/index.php/For_First_Timers#Seeding

the bold stuff is what I tried, and it still re-downloaded all 8 gig's. also, I did point it to the original files (which were completed, except the new content. (shouldn't if just have downloaded the new stuff?)) and it still is re-downloading everything.

edit: also, this whole thing is really messing up my Share ratio

If the filenames or internal directories have changed, you need to do more than that.
