the watching order is not hard. just take the five minutes to figure it out, or for the quickest way, ask.

i watched DCSS also, but i still liked DC more. if i remember correctly, DCSS deals with the relationship between him and Kotori, and you get to see what she's truly like. i was expecting her to go full yandere :P and that Aisha girl (was that her name) was annoying.

*i want to see Time Paladin Sakura, it sounds really good.
DCSS was about that wizard girl doing shit worse than Sakura. She's a kid so you expect her to understand how people think. Thou' there is more "daily life" events in DCSS than DC. I have to say the opening theme song for DCSS is really good.

Dude, nobody is saying it requires brain power off the charts to work it out, i read Tatsu's information to work it out...all i said was compared to your normal anime, these titles are more confusing, which they are compared to normal....

but anyway, Tatsu has made it super easy now by linking everything  :-* Good post for anybody considering watching it if you ask me!

I really felt bad for the wizard girl, Sakura was teaching her the really hard way through difficult experience lol, she had to see how wrong she was, she was too stubborn.

well thats Tatsu for you, check his other topics he opened, thats his usual way, everyone should take example of him tbh.

Updated links and fixed few errors in the first post (check them if you haven't). Da Capo S1 and S2 were both released in DVD and are in WIDESCREEN formats on BBT! Update your collection. There are also few extras. Definitely worth the re-watching - I'm going to be re-watching this. If you haven't seen Da Capo, I'd recommend it for 3 things: Coming of Age, Drama/Romance and Slice of Life.

Edit -- It's a shame no one has picked up Time Paladin Sakura's two OVAs. Even if they don't sound so serious and are spin-off of the series, I'm a fan of Sakura.

Um, even the old TV-rips were 16:9 (640x360 and 704x396), so I'm not sure of the need to all-caps the "widescreen" facet of the DVD releases.

There is also the supernatural/magical side of D.C. that can't be ignored. That's what I liked most about it, anyway. Although I'm always a sucker for these game-based romance shows.

As for Time Paladin Sakura: Get me a raw for the second episode, and I might be able to do something about it. I tried downloading it through some rapidshare links, but it's split into 4 .rars, and the first part gives me a "no files to extract" errors.

The first season was 4:3 so it wasn't full screen. I can confirm that through the old files. Maybe I downloaded the wrong files? I was talking about the very first D.C. and D.C. second season.

Also, check your PM. I sent you the link to the RAW files.

Maybe not full on your screen, but they would've been full on mine, had they been 4:3. Something must be wrong with your files, because AniDB shows every TV-rip version of the 1st series to be 640x360. The only 4:3 D.C. content I know of are the omakes from DCSS.

But despite the lack of a 4:3 -> 16:9 upgrade, J-G's DVD-rips are an improvement in about every other possible way. So for those wanting to rewatch the franchise or start it for the first time, they're a very worthy DL. He's also going to continue to DCII and DCIISS, although with 1024x576 and 1280x720 TV-rips available for those, the video improvements won't be as dramatic. I'll be collaborating on editing some of the subtitle tracks, namely Shinsen's subs for DCII and ASF's for DCIISS.

Isn't Da Capo some type of melody or note(s) in music language? ... I know they do describe it in the first season or the second season of the original series.

there is a few reason why the series is the way it is, sweet, and sometimes bitter, with music bits, this is one of the best romance shows of the time, simply because how actually accurate it looked when they actually started kissing, it was kind of natural, and you want more of it, I really liked Nemu's reactions that episode.

There you go! something good to mention.
Da Capo is for ppl who like this kind of stuff. It is just for fans! It's a really good stuff for ppl who like comedy & romance & small tragedy (talking only about Da Capo and Da Capo SS).
I'd also say (man! this is an exception, really). The anime is better than the VN from where it is based. And I think that is because of the lack of movement and the lack of fantasy that the VN does not explore (as much as I have tried)

while that may be true, there is a lot more to be experienced in the VN. only so much can make it into the anime, not just cuz its an eroge, but cuz they cant do all the routs for everyone. at first, i tried to go for Moe, but Nemu comes looking for you, and im a sucker for Nemu so i ended up taking her path the rest of the way.
