Da Capo S1 and S2 were both released in DVD and are in WIDESCREEN formats on BBT! Update your collection. There are also few extras. Definitely worth the re-watching - I'm going to be re-watching this. If you haven't seen Da Capo, I'd recommend it for 3 things: Coming of Age, Drama/Romance and Slice of Life.
Edit -- It's a shame no one has picked up Time Paladin Sakura's two OVAs. Even if they don't sound so serious and are spin-off of the series, I'm a fan of Sakura.

Um, even the old TV-rips were 16:9 (640x360 and 704x396), so I'm not sure of the need to all-caps the "widescreen" facet of the DVD releases.
There is also the supernatural/magical side of D.C. that can't be ignored. That's what I liked most about it, anyway. Although I'm always a sucker for these game-based romance shows.
As for Time Paladin Sakura: Get me a raw for the second episode, and I might be able to do something about it. I tried downloading it through some rapidshare links, but it's split into 4 .rars, and the first part gives me a "no files to extract" errors.

The first season was 4:3 so it wasn't full screen. I can confirm that through the old files. Maybe I downloaded the wrong files? I was talking about the very first D.C. and D.C. second season.
Also, check your PM. I sent you the link to the RAW files.

Maybe not full on your screen, but they would've been full on mine, had they been 4:3. Something must be wrong with your files, because AniDB shows every TV-rip version of the 1st series to be 640x360. The only 4:3 D.C. content I know of are the omakes from DCSS.
But despite the lack of a 4:3 -> 16:9 upgrade, J-G's DVD-rips are an improvement in about every other possible way. So for those wanting to rewatch the franchise or start it for the first time, they're a very worthy DL. He's also going to continue to DCII and DCIISS, although with 1024x576 and 1280x720 TV-rips available for those, the video improvements won't be as dramatic. I'll be collaborating on editing some of the subtitle tracks, namely Shinsen's subs for DCII and ASF's for DCIISS.

Isn't Da Capo some type of melody or note(s) in music language? ... I know they do describe it in the first season or the second season of the original series.
