Those are pretty good, though you could probably try to add a bit more shading, the neck isn't the only place where you'll find shadows on a face :P unless you're holding a spotlight right infront of them ofcourse :P

Drawn during a college on management. It started out as just the eye...

Oh and don't mind the writing, was taking notes while drawing xD

Are you deaf as well as blind, woman? I'm not a carpet to walk over and I
distinctly heard myself speak. If I pinch your bottom, you can slap my face, but until I do, I expect a civil word for a civil word!

I know, i just didn't feel like finishing it on squared paper. Of course, i went shopping earlier, bought a bunch of useless stuff and forgot about paper *double facepalm*

^ you're pretty good yourself actually, just keep going. i like that sakura one.

Thanks :D

So this morning i did skip class and went to the supermarket...
B pencil - check
HB pencil - check
sharpener - check
eraser - check
plain white paper - .... gtfo supermarket.

Anyway, blatant copy from google image to warm up:

I don't really feel like finishing it thou, it's squared paper after all :P

One more. I wonder if the hair is misproportioned? I can't really tell, Sousuke's hairstyle ftw
(click to show/hide)
About the first one, shadows look better when not lined.

About the second, there's something off with the right side of his hair, it doesn't scale right so it looks like the hair on the back is actually going more up and front not back.

BTW. Almost all of mine are on squared paper, those that aren't are on the cover of leaflets with squared paper. :P

Kidding really...
Nice aesthetics. Simple and kinda commonly shaped like teh other mother and child paintings (which is fortunately kinda common)

And it's PS right?

^ oh, that, well had that frustration on cs4 myself(though the main prob was that my lappy couldn't handle it). so i stuck with CS3.

@CRX dude, i'd go ahead and pickup CS5 if my lappy can only take it. tired of using vintage progs.

being told that "your art sucks" is a good thing.
being ignored for whatever reason is not.

Your art sucks. There happier now? No just kidding. I like the simplicity of it, and good pen-tooling!
Honestly I think pen tooling is one of the best ways to learn to create art, it's so precise if you're good with it.
Too bad I never had the patience to practice it.

lol, thanks. the pen tooling was mainly because i don't have access to a gfx tablet @ school, and i am yet to learn digital painting. speaking of which, you use a gfx tablet on your shoop paintings right?
