I do clouds by starting with the white (pink or w/e color you're clouds are gonna be idc) and filling in each shade gradually. I never start from dark and work my way up to light because it never looks right. You cant use markers with the second method anyway unless you use a white marker.... which suck from experience :)
In the end, its a cloud, it should be soft and fluffy so avoid using lines if you can.
Edit: I looked back a couple of pages in this thread, your marker technique is fine, you should be able to make some badass clouds lol

@ TiYlER, thanks, not sure if I'll be doing a lot of pencilwork in this one as the condition for the entries was in colour, but I'm sure it'll be helpful in the future

15 minute drawing, yea its crooked lol. oh disregard the top; i was drawing something else above it but the teacher suddenly wrote 4+5=2 on the board and i needed to figure out wtf was going on first so i gave up.

That's an awesome Ruri. Did you seriously just bust that out in class, with a pen, no references??
