I tried to make the chin more feminine. The nose... it doesn't look bad but it looks... idk. Oh, and the dude with the glasses is me.

aye! If it were me I would hide that sharp angle under her ear... the one thats defining her jaw. Then again if you're going for a realistic style, ignore that. Still, what you did worked imo.  :)

Oh and a tip... When I think something looks meh but I can't figure out whats wrong, I look the picture in the mirror (or flip the image horizontally if you already have a digital copy) and I usually see immediately what part is messed up. Maybe that only works for me lolol

ok thanx. I noticed the jaw thing near the ear and realized I forgot to move the hair over to cover it. looking at it scanned (zoomed like 300% it looks like) I can see all of the mistakes.

Something I did a few days ago. I messed up on the proportions (too small of a head) and I guess I failed at the hands too, they were just too hard D:
If you don't recognize her, go watch Hidamari Sketch right now :3

@Soulreaper
Get rid of her arms + make her right cheek a little smaller, and it would be perfect!

Just finished my art exam today, and thankfully managed to pass. Two paintings that I actually managed to like myself.

I don't quite remember the first one, something about being consumed by the world. The second one is inspired by watching Band of Brothers and The Pacific, who you become when you're thrown into a war, and how you begin to abandon your humanity. You bring out your inner animal to survive. I got other stuff I might post, though in a bit of a hurry at the moment. I think I used a bit of Abarai Renji and the Kyuubi for the man/demon. Well, what I had in mind when I started painting.

I like the first a lot more than the second. The first has a artistic value while the second looks like a kids drawing.

Funnily, the second one was the one I used the most time on. Maybe it's just the anime/manga fanatic in me that who likes the second one the best. Ironically, the first was supposed to be a self-portraitist painting. I don't look like that. :D though I do feel that the world sometimes demands more than we can deliver/perform/achieve.

I used black stuff which wasn't regular paint, it might've been acrylic paint.

Two new ones from me:

Fast draw, a little practice.

100 % original from me. I like her body shape and hair, but the face and boobs are a little off.
And the background is... Not so fine..  ::)

From the way you described it, I thought it would look like a first grader drew it. But very nicely done. I would love to see a one-shot from you, and if you are working on it i would like to see a sample ;)

EDIT:
Does anyone know of a GREAT mannequin program of sorts?

i have a wooden mannequin i use when i cant figure out a pose i want to draw. I pose the mannequin and base my drawing off that. Only thing is... wooden mannequin has like.... 4 or 5 joints only so it cant reproduce a very 'dynamic' pose. 3d programs take models and let you adjust each and every joint realisticly (or unrealistically if you desire) to produce the pose you want. Heck, if you want you can even move the individual fingers of the models in the program (in case you're bad at imagining hands, like I am lol)

I've never been good at drawing people, even if I did draw them it'll be a close up rather than the whole body.
I think I have some sketches though I'll look for them.

Thath's Roody btw :D
