Why Warhammer Failed

Hyped up by who? Stupid wow-fags who are so quick to label everything that has multiplayer as MMO? Because the developers advertised it as action-rpg. People who played Diablo knew it was arpg and were never expecting anything else.

Turned to shit? Every update and expansion added awesome stuff to the game and unlike shit like aion, you didn't have annoying time sinks here. Only a genius money sink system.
I remember I was in a hardcore guild and that meant that we must make a hardcore elite character. I'll tell you there is no other online game out there (except for Diablo) that can make adrenaline rush like that when you see that your character is about to die.
Worst thing is what people make of Firefall. The developers have already stated quite clearly that it is not an MMO. Guess what wow-tards call it though? Some people should be banned from gaming.

Everquest was the king of things like that. Boss runs hours long...

I recall reading someone skipped his wedding to do an EQ run. . .he didnt get married obviously

Everquest was so great though. I loved the world itself (along with the community) more than the actual game (even though i loved my necro to death). Perhaps I'm being too nostalgic but i wish that developers would focus more on building up an epic world and making it feel huge and engulfing than trying to make the built in time sinks more efficient. I really liked WoW when it first came out but now it just feels way too watered down and spoon fed for me that it no longer leaves any kind of challenge to keep up with. I liked the fact that EQ was a challenge and you actually had to work for your phat loots instead of them almost being handed to you like they are in WoW now.

We need real events like that virus incident in wowcraft that wiped out half the city, wish i was there to witness it.
Some dude was leaving a dungeon raid and didn't know he was debuffed, the debuff spread to other people.. dead bodies everywhere, the screenshots were epic.
