Help with internet speed issue

Another ridiculous thing is if the wireless router has an antenna you have to make sure that the antenna is "facing" you.

I'm using an apple router, I can't tell which directions the antennas are facing. The problem persists even if I am on top of it. I know it a problem with vista because my netbook works just fine.

Well, there's no fun in wiping the OS and go for clean install, I'd persist in getting this problem solved.
