hmm lots of stuff obviously  ;D
food replicator (yummy)
hover bike, (like one that's incredibly fast and doesn't seem to matter if its hovering above a horizontal or vertical surface as long as its a couple of meters above said surface)
oh and something that clones me into a new body if i die etc

.
 • body & mind rejuvenation - I'd like to be (physically) 20 again & live to be 200-300 or a bit more, maybe even 1000

 • various cyborg implants/technology; up to & including Ghost in the Shell tech, or even virtualize myself into a galactic-wide interwebz

 • advanced medical science, bioengineering/gene tech to complement the above 2 categories - regen body parts, rejuv & designer/clone offspring, for examples

 • holographic &/or cyborg computer interface capability - Star Trek holodeck would be nice

 • space travel; Cowboy Bebop level, at least - want to visit other worlds, so Star Trek level even better, but weirder, like Farscape

 • political/social utopia - violence and abuse of all living beings is obsolete & treated like the mental disease it is, society is clothes-optional, consensual sex while commuting to work on the subway is as normal as drinking a coffee, etc.

 • spiritual utopia - freedom of religion, and freedom from religion (sorry to include a Fantasy World item on a Sci Fi list!)

 • economic utopia - the concept of money has become obsolete

 • biochemical utopia - Legalize it! The Spice must flow ...

 • highly advanced environmental/biosphere management - I'd love a career as a terraformer, creating a world filled with my own designed animals & ecologies

 • genetic "uplift" - the advancement of species into sentient forms (read David Brin, The Uplift War)

 • yah, +1 on food replicators; Star Trek is fine, but also like The 5th Element is good

 • advanced transportation - anti-grav tech & +1 on Star Trek transporters for examples

So, the list would include the technologies required to support the above, such as advanced ecologically sustainable energy, proper waste stream recycling and lack of toxic pollution, etc.
I win, once again, in my never-ending struggle against victory.

Can't rmb what that movie was called. But basically you sleep at home and remote control a robot connected to your mind going around doing your life.

-Personal teleporter Narue No Sekai style, just so bloody amazing!

-Bacta tank from Star Wars, I'd be a huge user

-Genetic engineering, Mass Effect style, who wouldn't want to be faster, better, stronger?

-Food replicator 5th Element style, no more shopping for discount sales!

-Integrated eye computer, Terminator style, watching anime on a lection HELL YEAH!  8)

Because we can!

Gamer?

Oh brain implants to run simulations, either quick learning or stimuli programs (futuristics drugs with no side effects and the ability to sober up instantly)

Unlimited energy from something like Fusion. Reasoning, with unlimited energy we can stop using oil and many of the wealth problems we have could be solved.

AI's, something to control robots so that people don't have to work certain jobs any more.

Then there are tons of things I would want but even if they were introduced I wouldn't have the money to get them, so the above would most likely be the most useful for me.

Surrogates, a lot like I-robot if you ask me but good movie nonetheless.

- Molecular transporters
- Complete control of the God-particle
- Cold/Nuclear Fusion
- Quantum Computers (first step has been made already :3)
- Downloading of information directly to our brain
- Creation of the perfect being i.e. upgraded human
- Complete control of Spacetime
- If they exist, complete control of the higher spatial dimensions, hypercube ftw :3
- Reassembling of protons/electrons to create any material we want
- The use of esper abilities becomes somewhat common (Railgun/Index :3)
- Complete control of the graviton

If we get all this except the esper abilities then we control the universe.

1) Perfect cell regeneration. Never grow old, never die, pop broken bones back into place, shoot yourself for fun, etc, etc.
2) Replicator. The kind from star trek. I say what food I want, and it makes it for me, and if it isn't quite how I like it, tweak time.
3) Holodeck. There's watching Avatar in 3D, and then there's sitting on Pandora with some replicated popcorn. Not to mention how much better downloaded porn would be.
4) Bending Space-Time. Fuck transporters, I want to think myself in a JAV stars living room and move there without getting up from the couch.
5) Hadouken. No reason other than I think it'd be fun to throw giant fireballs at people and only have them become mildly injured.

You know you'll become blind when you're invisible? If you intend to use the power to bump into stuff then have fun xD

That depends on how complete invisibility it is. If he can still be detected on sonar or similar devices then he can also see. Incomplete invisibility (complete to the naked eye) with micro camera(s) for vision is also a possibility.

You know exactly what you will do because  if you didn't then becoming invisible wouldn't be a want for you.

Plentiful, cheap/free energy source, with no bad 'byproducts'.

Replicators, food and otherwise.

Advanced medicine/medical procedures.

Limb replacement technology. Not just replace the limb with a prosthetic version, but have the option of a 'regrown' or 'vat grown' replacement limb grown from your own cells.

Tests to determine just who has what chance of getting cancer...... and a way to remove that possibility totally.

With the above items in play, Space travel would then be a 'must have', along with terraforming technology, so that the excess population could be moved off of earth, to an 'earth-like' planet.

Anti-gravity.

So many other things that I know I will think of.

I don't see how you figure this, the two most logical ways to be become invisible in my opinion would either be to reproduce the image that someone sees behind you at whichever angle they look, but this doesn't necessary mean light couldn't pass through this screen. Also your far closer to the layer causing the effect so a series of thin slits would let you see though but be invisible to someone further away. Or it could simple act like a two way mirror only reproducing what's behind the mirror rather than in front, via cameras etc (would require some futuristic material)

The next would be to allow light to pass through you probably by reproducing its trajectory on the other side and also blocking light coming off you but it would most likely block it after it passes through the invisibility layer and just stop it rebounding which would mean you could receive light (ie see)

Anyway on a separate note you mention earlier about being able to control the graviton and the god-particle. These are obviously both theoretical and might not even exist in the first place but suppose they do. I was wondering what controlling the god-particle might achieve. Isn't it just some sort of elementary particle that gives mass to other particles? I can see how if we had complete control of the graviton you could possible block gravity or with even more futuristic technology create your own gravity fields but I was wondering what stuff you could achieve with the god particle. Make objects weightless while maintaining their structure? seems a bit unlikely with any amount of technology.

Anyway standard model for particles is just a nice way to make stuff fit together in an understandable way imo. I think string and quantum loop gravity might be closer to the truth or for finding a unified theory for everything.

I need to know how to build Marvin the Martian's disintegrator ray gun,

because taking stuff apart is much more fun and much easier than putting stuff together.

Invisibility = bending light around the object. That's what meant generally by it and that's what I thought he meant. So if light passes around him then he's blind.
Creating a contraption with cameras, mirrors, screens, etc is too big for a person to carry and probably doesn't work well when you're moving.

The God-particle i.e. the Higgs boson indeed gives mass to particles. And you are right when you say that Graviton control and the God-particle control are essentially the same but there is one big difference. Making an object weightless with the God-particle will work in any gravity field, so an object made weightless here will also be weightless on the sun. But making an object weightless with gravitons will not work in any gravity field, you'll have to adjust it to match the gravity field every time and thus in the more severe gravity fields this would require more and more energy. While once you've made an object massless with the God-particle you're done.
I just put both there for no reason xD And assuming that they do exist, which isn't proven yet.

Ah yes bending light, didn't think of that one, still bending something that moves that fast must be pretty hard, unless we fully understand light, is it a wave or a particle? Or have a gravitational force equal to a black hole but that might cause other problems during daily life :D

Hmm I wasn't really trying to say this , there is obviously a big difference between mass and weight
With zero weight an object would still have a large amount of inertia but with zero/near zero mass a small amount of force would result in
a ridiculous amount of acceleration

I was trying to say that if the higgs boson exists it would be very hard to remove it from all the matter composing an object and still have that object behave in the same way, ie removing it would probably mess up all the intermolecular forces of the matter and the object would probably disintegrate into individual particles.

Still who knows what role mass plays with strong and weak intermolecular forces

Edit: actually back to the light thing I guess we can reflect/refract light easily enough which can have similar effects to bending light

well this is the future you know, and I'm sure refracting light around an entire human would require a large mass as well, although maybe some generator that produce a mist or something could work? who knows  :D
