Daemon Tools failing ... :(

My old Daemon was a Lite free version which I was happy with then it started to act weird. I uninstalled it, restarted computer and made sure nothing is installed from Daemon and tried to re-install it but it wouldn't work either. I get an error saying: Error code: 14. Contact support. whenever I try to install it.

I want Daemon to work but if it's not going to work then I need something to run ISO image of my game. Any help?

If it's just running ISO then virtual clone drive does it good.

you can also unzip the iso and run the setup.exe

IF you don't mind redoing it from time to time and losing a USB, then Universal USB installer is interesting to try out as well. (You can bring it to a friend's comp without them having daemon or w/e.

Restart, redownload the setup file, stop all background processes (antivirus, firewall, whatever), try and install again. Or use PowerISO.

Oh wow ... If I need to stop a firewall, then that would be ZoneAlarm ... ?

Mine goes tits up on me every so often, but a fresh install does the trick. Perhaps there's still remnants left after the uninstall? (Or if you just deleted the files, there's almost definitely remnants).

Alcohol 120% or 52% both have disc emulation software. They are probably second best after deamon tools.

I used to use Daemon tools exclusively, but started having issues with it locking up my computer, so I switch to Power ISO.  But now I keep Alcohol 120%, Daemon Tools, and Power ISO on my computer for mounting CD Images.  I mostly use Power ISO but every now and then I come across one Power ISO wont mount (mostly BIN & CUE files).  Then I resort to Alcohol, then if that doesn't work Daemon tools.  Between the 3 of them I have got every good file to mount.
So there are several good alternatives out there if Daemon Tools wont play nice.
