How do I seed if I have no utorrent files on my new pc?

Hi sorry if this question is asked alot but. I got a new laptop and a few months ago my account  got download suspended because I had a poor ratio. well I don't have any of the torrent files I downloaded on my new pc so how would I go about getting my ratio back up to what it should be? I read the Wiki and I don't get what I have to do? Do I download anything from any torrent site and add bakabt as a tracker? ( I also don't know the tracker name)step by step instructions would be nice

be sure to verify that the files you DL are the same as BBT offers. Once you DL them you can download the torrent file from BBT and add its tracker. (be sure to remove other trackers otherwise your UL wont be going all to BBT)
It is a fairly easy process.

Also, aren't BT torrents blocked from peer exchange, DHT and such things. Furthermore it shouldn't be possible to add trackers to it. Could try the other way round, but that's bad, and do not even attempt, because there is a possibility of your key being used somewhere.

Not really into the peer exchange protocols, because i never actually used it for long, but just to be safe, stay out of such things.


There are lots of ways of reseeding, assuming you want to improve your ratio. Try getting a SOLID and CHECKED realese and re-seeding it here. Example would be [THORA] realeses, or any file that will match CRC hash checks. You can check the hashes at anidb.net

well, my fault for not properly explaining myself.
What I meant was that ifyou can find torrents that have the same files you can DL them from any site, it doesnt have to be BBT. The thing you need to do is remove all other trackers and add the .torrent with your personal tracker key from BBT after.

Another trick, if you have the old files from your old computer available, is to add them to the new computer and simply reload the links to each original DL on BakaBT as I did.  When I was DLing before joining BakaBT, I captured many of the files that were already here - to make my system become a super-seeder, all I needed to do was find the related BakaBT page, make sure the two sets of files matched, then added it to my bittorent server.  Once there, all I needed to do was to STOP the DL, make the program force the server to RECHECK the files, and once it started to reconfirm them, STOP and START the files for it to sync up again.  From there, the bittorent would take over.

Now granted, I'm using BitTorrent, while you're using UTorrent, which might not work the exact same way.  And right now, my ratio is a bit weak, as I just banged through my system's catalog and dumped bad torrents for good BakaBT ones, but now that it's done, I'm slowly crawling back up with about an average of 85 - 135 seeds going at once.

There's hardly a difference if you're using the newer BT - it's based off uT code since version 6 IIRC.
