How do I share files after uploading a torrent?

I have a torrent offer up right now that is semi-approved, but I don't know if I should do anything else after uploading the torrent file.  Do I need to open the torrent and seed it myself in my BT client?  I tried that, but nothing seemed to happen.

You, uh, do know what semi-approved means, right?

It means one moderator has approved, but it is awaiting the decision of a second moderator.

Which means it's not approved yet.

Which means it's not available yet.

Which means no one else can download the file.

Which means no one will be downloading from the torrent.

So yes, you will have to seed it, at least when it is approved. By the way, you will have to add your private passkey to the torrent or download from the download page once it's approved (actually I think you should be able to download it immediately, as the uploader). How else is anyone else going to get the files?

I still don't fully understand.  The torrent's been approved and I've opened the .torrent file from its page using uTorrent, but nothing's happening.  What do I need to do to upload/download/share the files I have on my computer that make up the torrent for everyone else?  (And please excuse my lack of knowledge, this is the first time I've ever hosted a torrent.)

From the Wiki:

Once the torrent is fully approved, you will have to re-download the .torrent file (which will now have your user keypass in the tracker URL) for seeding. Alternatively, you can also add your keypass to the tracker URL manually; it should look like http://tracker.BakaBT.com:2710/[keypass]/announce.php.

So, download .torrent file, point your torrent client to the folder where you've stored the files, force recheck and press start. Seeding will commence, assuming there's a 100% match of course; but since you're the uploader...
