I did once, it was the most horrifying weekend of my life.

It's hard to say at the moment, since I only started watching last summer. Right now I can say that I most likely won't stop; however, when I get started in college I'm probably going to take a break since I can't really download torrents there (unless I decide to watch online, which is something that I hate).

NEVER!!! Of course I'm relatively new to anime, there's still so many great stuff I have not seen yet and I'm too old to care about what some ignorant people might think.

I did once. Fortunately it was just a dream :D Why would I even consider to stop watching anime? That's like saying "Starting now, I'm not gonna drink beer anymore." It's... wrong.

I don't really watch very much.

The way you're talking about it sounds like an addiction; to me, it's just something to do.

People who know me treat me like the person I am, rather than by any silly stereotypes.  I don't really care very much what a random person off the streets thinks of me, and they'd be more likely to peg me as a computer-y person, anyways, than an animu-watcher.

No. Just no.

Why the strange idea?

Though the "time wasted" note on most of pre-generated looks awkard, and make me think "oh hell no!". But the it's usually like "oh hey! it was worth it, more than the usuall stuff i do".

I would not consider stopping, anime is one of the only breaks in my life, the other being gaming.  I really don't care what others think, and my non-anime watching friends don't care either.

But obtaining old series can be a real pain in the ass especially licensed stuff. Like I wanted to watch Pani Poni Dash 3 years ago but I couldn't find it anywhere and gave up. To this day I still haven't seen it.

1. How did you make that graph? Is this somehow from AniDB?
2. Me too. Usually people notice that I have a lot of computers and tape recorders. :)

I archive everything I watch, so I won't have problems if I want to watch it again.

I have enough anime that I havn't watched (and ten times more that I HAVE watched) to last me forever. Like, if the industry was to stop right now and no more new animes were coming out, I would still be content. I would just repeatedly watch the same series/movies I have because I enjoyed ALL of them, some more than others obviously. Hell, I even support PART of the industry by buying animes that have been localized for America (I still only just watch it in Japanese with subs), but I would hate if the industry died off in the near future. So would I ever stop watching anime? Nope, one of my most favorite series is actually one of my most prized possessions (The Remastered Gundam Wing). I own a copy of collector's edition along with a digital copy on my hard drive.

Anime isn't even something I'm embarrassed about... cause I showed my friends one episode of Solty Rei one time and one of them said "I take everything back of what I said about anime." The guy hasn't seen anything yet, lol.

Keep on watchin(and reading too!) gals and guys. :)

I don't know why it (watching anime) is regarded as odd behavior while smoking and watching porn is not.

^ How are they not? People can have just as many prejudices about them as anime.

The majority people at my school view smoking as "cool", but no-one (except me) considers watching anime cool.

Tbh, the long hair means I'm stereotyped as a metal fan WAY before they think I watch anime.

I've never once considered it.
I am the only person I know IRL that watches anime and my friends still think they are "just cartoons" and I once got busted with my loli/ecchi screen saver running. But even with all that, I dont plan on stopping as long as I keep finding quality shows/manga.

Some people just dont get it but I have never felt embarrassed over it. So a stigma is the least of my worries. More importantly is the amount of time I spend on it where I could be doing something more productive.
