would you want to be a cyborg
Soulreaper77:
My wishlist:
- Reinforced bones like carbon fiber strong
- Enhanced brain capacity or that I can actively control all parts of my brain
- Stronger muscle fibers, ones that don't rip so fast
- Removal of my pain nerves
- Closed rib case enclosed with said reinforced bones
- Nano-robots who keep my body clean of all foreign materials
- Super fast cell regeneration (lost an arm, no problem it'll grow back on xD)

Yes. It is the next paradigm shift in human evolution.
I'd want to be a cyborg like the people in the Dahak trilogy (aka Empire From the Ashes). Bones replaced with battlesteel (super-strong alloy), muscles replaced with extra strong synthetics, eyes replaced with better optics, built in recording devices, built in camouflage, skin that can resist small and mediums arms fire. The ability to directly interface with computers via a faster than light communications device.

Check dates of publication. ^^
As for the topic, yes. I think genetic alteration would be a more long term sustainable solution though, even if it doesn't reach the same heights. Operating it into masses of people seems like something that can't be done with how hospitals and so on works now. Perhaps a few rich ones could afford it, well that and the military.
