THe INternet, Remember the first time using it?
SirSkyRider:
1. Oh, I dunno. What I know is that we didn't have any internet at home when I had my first computer back in '98. So I had to go to my father's practice (he's a dentist) and look stuff up there. And when we had internet at home, we still had dial-up and I couldn't use the internet when my mother was online or when somebody called. :D In 2003 we got DSL (Broadband) with an amazing speed of 768 kbps and this year we upgraded to 16.000.
2. Phew. Sometime around 2002. It was an extremely bad time for me back then.
DLTE:
I first started using the internet for game cheat codes ( At that time I bought games now I just torrent em ). And porn of course. I didn't bother with MSN or yahoo messenger etc until much later.
Also I didn't know about search engines when I first started using. So I just searched in the URL for w/e I wanted.
Like if I'm looking for something I just typed www.porn.com or www.battleformiddle earth.com

94/95 when we first got modem at home. Ah, the lovely *scree, skraa, scgrooooo* for 20 minutes before connecting. And it was cheaper after 6pm, can you imagine? Cheaper AFTER 6pm.
What did I use it for then? Heck if I'd remember. Probably it was just cool. A little later we played C&C with pals. Some random netting. Downloading music.
The school had broadband then already so there we did most of the actual netting. Like Stickdeath when it came around.
Side note, we got a CD-drive somewhere around 96/97.
Really got to using it in 2000/2001 when we got DSL.
Diablo, Diablo, Diablo, Age of Empires, Heroes of Might and Magic III, Unreal Tournament
StarCraft, yes I spent so much time on it that it deserves it's own line. Three summer vacations practically only Starcraft half of the time.
Random netting.
Downloading music, movies, games.
(Teen)porn.
Maybe I really got addicted would be around 2007 when one of the forums', of which I was a member of , email notification stopped working so I had to check myself if there were any new replies. It became a daily habit.
I've been using Windows messenger, Skype, IRC and other ways to communicate over the net from pretty much the first day they became possible. I was always on the front lines on the users of those(and for filesharing applications too, WINMX(still the best (single)music sharing application to date, too bad it got crushed like so many others, nowadays too little users), Kazaa, DC, etc.), except E-mail, I still don't use E-mail that much. Actually only MSN Messenger is left, IRC for DLing mostly.
Internet has gotten too regulated nowadays, it's boring. Google is the only good search engine and it censors it's results like crazy. Bing is still going through all the material but I doubt it'll be any better. The uncensored engines are never going to get a good database for the searches. So if you want something you have to go hunting for proper IRC channels...

How does this even happen? Do you find your dad's, mom's, older siblings stash? And why would you care about women at that age?

I watched porn when I was 5. ;)
By turning on the TV at night of course!
And around 7 we passed porn mags at school (stolen from older siblings of course, who'd stolen from older siblings, who'd stolen from older siblings, stores or parents). So yeah, it does happen.
