<< < (7/8) > >>

harpy:
1. The first time you ever used the Internet. When did you use it and what did you think of it?

some time back, don't know when exactly. I think it might have been at home or in school  :-\

2. The time of YOUR era in which you became addicted (if you did) to the Internet? What got you addicted to it?

I think it was some kind of forum and chat rooms  :-\ hmz, haven't visited any chat places in a long long long time...hmz, maybe as should pick it up? I am unemployed now and what else do these people do? :D

mgz:
first time using it was probably i think around 94 or 95 at my dads work like a year or 2 later at home. I just remember having our sweet 166mhz processor

its amazing how far technology has come. i remember when a 56K modem was the best thing out there. i dont think they even make computers with a floppy disk drive anymore..... if they do, i dont see them. i never used chat rooms cuz i already knew the most important rule of the internet - there are no girls on the internet. remember that and you will never have to be on that 'to catch a predator' show.

(click to show/hide)i have no way to know if this is the original list of the rules of the internet, but all the ones to know seem to be here.

I honestly don't remember when I first starting using the internet. But a possible year range would be '97-'02. I do remember my first game ever and that was Megaracers. I loved it.
When I became addicted to the internet would be when I was 13. I started watching anime (streamed) and thus I found myself each day for a couple of hours behind the computer watching anime. For the first time I came in contact with a really strange language and I loved it. I already knew about Japan back then (well knew that it existed lol) and I was already determined to go live there because I wanted to be an inventor and I heard from several sides that Japan really invested in technology and thus my mind was set and it has never wavered since.

The only rules everyone mutually agrees on are 1, 2, 34 and 34.1. And I'm serious about 1 and 2 mess with /b/ and you'll get anally raped.
And rule 56 is something for Havoc lol.
