I've always been fond of "Eats, shoots, and leaves.".

I generally write like I speak, complete with "uhm"s and whatnot.  Taking a technical writing course really helped me edit my work better, but that's effort I only expend for important things.

philosophy is based on writings and second thing after thinking philosophers need to know is how to write :D

there is no real philosophy without writing and no non written philosophy can take place without written word...

I naturally write long sentences, for some reason or another.  I also love using ";", it has many usages and helps break up long text.   

Pentium100:
When explaining something I tend to write long sentences and multiple layers of parentheses (like this (I mean this)).
