Aero on Windows 7?
« on: October 21, 2010, 07:38:03 PM »
When I switch my Themes on Windows 7 under Personalization, I loose the cool "fade" effects from Windows 7 "Harmony". Like, when I close or open a window on the taskbar, it would give it that cool smooth effect. Or when my background desktop image changes, it gives it that cool fading effect. How do I apply it because I want it to run under my anime wallpapers ...

Certain software that is running in the background could force windows to disable that. Older software mostly.

I am not totally sure what you mean. Can you explain a little more in depth? I have been running 7 since its release and been making lots of changes but I have never lost any of its initial activities.
The only thing I can think based on your post is the possibility that you are using a custom skin.

Restart didn't work either. I forgot to mention, I already solved the problem. It occurred when I was testing something on my main monitor and so I disabled my secondary monitor. That's when trouble hit. My monitor, for whatever godly and oddly reason, it set itself on 16-bit colors. Enabling my secondary monitor didn't resolve the problem. Restart didn't do that as well. When I found out it was set on 16-bit colors, I switched it to 32-bit and swapped my theme back to Harmony (default Windows 7 theme) then switched my background images and it worked. Microsoft still didn't fix this problem since Windows XP Pro.
