Gigabit FTTH coming to Canada
Pentium100:
Oh well, 200/200/80/80 d/u/d/u will be enough until the ISP decides to increase the speed :)
Not to mention that my current equipment can't handle much more than that. 3x700MHz has some limits.

Bell is the worst, I'm getting 5mpbs down and 0.3mbps up for 50$CAD month
Freedom Kira:
I was wondering why I never heard of Aliant. Seems they only service the Atlantic provinces.
EastLink seems to offer similar services to Shaw. For both, the current fastest is 100/5. What's the pricing for EastLink? That's something they don't tell you right away. Shaw offers it for $150/month. Bundling is $10 off/month.
I looked into AllStream for a dedicated connection. For 10Mb symmetric, it was like $1716/month about a year ago. I wonder what it is now.
Tomoya - hope that's not satellite Internet. Satellite Internet is damn unreliable, and cuts out at least once every five minutes.

It's DSL. I still get disconnects and PPPOE login failures all the time.

They're also selling bandwidth soon in Canada... so expect some big expansions soon.
