ya know what else was a great classic horror film - The Gate. in this movie, two boys find a gate to hell under the pile of wood which once was thier treehouse. all sorts of creepy little monsters come from the hole in the ground (while the parents are away of course).

I remember some horror movie about some druid too, it was not as much as scary but creepy, it crawled up in my head for a few weeks.

these days the only good horror movie that has a chance of scaring people would have to be about some hideously abominable alien or ancient monster bombing on the earth, or "Care Bears" lol XD that always freaked me out, or teletubes XXD

My roommate and I were just talking about that one a week or two ago.  I haven't seen that movie in ages.  I remember it having a very sinister feel to it.  In addition to that one, I kinda want to go back and rewatch a few other classics in honor of Halloween, like Creepshow and Prince of Darkness, among others.  I'm going to have to make time for a horror movie night with my friends sometime soon.

There's not a lot of newer horror movies that really do it for me (I can't stand the whole 'torture porn' genre, and I have mixed feelings about the creepy Japanese style horror movies), but I did enjoy 1408 and The Descent.
