Visual Experience will be better that alone will likely mean it's better for most people :P
I hope it doesn't land on any console, fuck you consolers XD

Lack of Skill Trees only means that the customization comes from what spells you pick to use and what Runestone to use. Other than that... I have no complaints.

Diablo 3 will be better than Diablo 2.

If you think otherwise, you remember too fondly how good Diablo 2 was.

Also, there's no way Blizzard will release a game in the Diablo series inferior to any previous iterations.  They're not stupid, and they know how games work.

Well, none of their games ever worked good on consoles at least :)

I think I can enjoy this game more than WoW, and I can wait for it.

I can't even think of a console game Blizzard has ever made.

They are also owned by Activision... the most money hungry video game company on the same level as EA. I'm sorry, but they can totally fuck up if they don't play their cards right (not in terms of gameplay). For starters, get rid of the real money gear sales. I personally don't care about it being there (I think I might take advantage of it and make a buck for myself), but other people will care. There is going to be like 50 of the same rare item for 99 cents apiece and then 150 of them for like 50-98 cents (all the non-gold farmers trying to undercut). So for 1-2 hours of work, no one will ever make more than a dollar or so off of gear drops. :P

The point of the real money market is so Blizzard gets a cut of the gold buyer market.  That's it.  If you don't want to buy items, you don't have to, just like in every other mmo.

And btw, even after Activision bought Blizzard, there has not been a drop in quality.

"THEY'RE OWNED BY ACTIVISION, ACTIVISON IS EVIL!" isn't a valid argument to begin with.  Wish people would shut the fuck up about Activision, EA, and Ubisoft when they merely publish a game and judge the developers and their work instead.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, oh wait, did you not play Cataclysm?

Anyways, I'm not going against the money market... It's that some people will be turned off by it. People won't sell the best gear on the gold one... they will try to sell the best gear for $5 on the money market. Meaning that people can just buy their way into a good character instead of working for it by getting enough gold OR grinding for the item.

People will shut up about Activision when Activision stops releasing their games every year. People will shut up about EA when they stop collecting information about us just so we can play big AAA titles. People will shut up about Ubisoft when they stop it with their dirty DRM. People don't bitch because they can... they bitch because there is a reason behind it.

Reason behind hating on Blizz? Money markets will be a better place to sell weapons than the regular gold market (cause anyone can grind for gold).

I don't play WoW.  So I have nothing to say on that.

People complaining about money market should wait till it's in, because it hasn't been done before (not that I know of, anyways).

My point is it's well known that Blizzard is Activision's golden goose.  It was before Activision bought it and is still that way now.  If you think Activision is going to try to fuck that up by throwing themselves into a process that has worked for over a decade with no fail, you're mistaken.

If Activision had anything to do with the development of Diablo 3, it would have been released by now, not pushed back to 2012 for more beta testing.  And that is my main point.  Activision bitching has no place in this thread, because it doesn't have much to do with anything.  It's like bitching about Atlus because Demon's Souls is too hard.

If you want to complain about Blizzard, be my guest, though.

Personally, I don't think the money market will be as pervasive as you fear.  I and most people I know aren't big fans of buying power in games with real life money.  It feels like cheating to us.  We haven't done i the past and won't in the future.

Immediately after doing those multi-console ventures Blizzard realized consoles are dumb and stuck to PC ever since.   ;)

Yeah, Torchlight 2 is going to outsell Diablo 3.

I didn't bother putting a sarcastic tone in that statement because it's so absurd no one would believe it.

You don't know if Diablo III will be better than Diablo II. :P
I'm going to say, in the first week Diablo III should sell 2 million copies and about 3.5 million copies by the end of the month. Well, this is based on my ultra newbish D3 senses >_>;; don't take it seriously.

2 million copies in the first week? That's it? Your estimates seem mighty low.

I think Diablo III will sell at LEAST 3 million copies the first day. Cataclysm sold 3.3 million in the first day... so why wouldn't the most anticipated hack and slash action RPG sell just as many?

Yeah, Diablo 3 will break records for the PC for sure.

How does the market in EVE work?

http://droog.rwpcomputers.com/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=27300 If you check the bottom they have a money conversion of what that kill is worth if you bought it using real money.

Warcraft2 as well for PSX lol

It's not about Blizzard realizing that consoles are dumb, it's that Blizzard realized they are unable to do a console game port lol, Blizzard can't afford to dumb down their game.

Also, Cataclysm in terms of quality was good on the release, but then they dumbed it down for newbies like they did with WotLK, so the quality got dropped.

I am wondering which I will buy, D3,ME3 or TL2.

I think it's odd that Blizz announced they will push back Diablo... and a day later the release date for SWTOR is announced.

Interesting.

EverQuest 2 has a market in which you can use real money to buy items.  Works fairly well as none of the items are game breaking that you can buy.  Instead they are just things that make life a little easier in the game world.  Or add a little zip to your characters looks.

Can't comment too much on how D3's is going to be setup as I know next to nothing about it, but as far as EQ2's market goes.  Its far from game breaking.  Just gives the casual gamer a little bit of a step towards the hardcore.
